My first look and it's good. More modern and cleaner. I like the compact / detail button.

The choice of text editors is nice and the pictures and emojis is better.

Well done.

The two editors should be really stable now .. you can flick between them without the page reloading, and it will reliably convert from one format to the other without loss.

Its on the 'wish list' to add a more modern list of emojis, but goal one was to reproduce the existing features first.

Just quickly, there used to be a pop up box on the wind graphs that gave you swell/wind numbers at whatever time you hovered over. I noticed that its gone now. A glitch? Or no longer a feature?

Laurie, I just tried to copy and paste a link (this thread) to the sailing section for someone having trouble with Firefox.

Is this an issue with the new site or an issue with me

Links to external pages are going wrong in Firefox: - "Unexpected Error"
The link in the first post in the Lancelin results page is an example:
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Western-Australia/Lancelin-Results?page=1#11
Click the link and get an error.

Works ok in Chrome.

On my iPad, (using chrome) the "click to expand quote" And the " Quote" buttons don't work.
Everything is ok on the Mac desktop using chrome.

Just fine, because it's lacking a "return to top of page" at the bottom, otherwise I would call it prefect.

This is an odd one. I've seen it happen once, but it was only a once off - reloaded the page and all good. Is it happening everytime for you, or is it transient?

Laurie,

I have noticed that in Firefox the wind graphs are very slow to load and to scroll down the page - to the point of being unusable as the graph I most often refer to is well down the page. Seems OK in Edge/Explorer and Chrome.

Also, "view last post" in the forums does not work in Firefox but does in Chrome. In Firefox it either goes to the first post or (apparently) randomly into the middle of the thread.

Both issues can be cured by me using an alternative browser

I also had the error that Shifu mentioned with that LOC link.

Thank you for all of your hard work.

Just ran Chrome on the iPad, and both these function fine. I'm guessing not much else would work for you either, such as inserting smilies, or changing the editor.

Guessing the reason is because both of these are "javascript" functions, and for them not to work, it would mean either page didn't fully load, or you have some plug-in for chrome that's disabled them.

Try: 1) Restart / reload the page, and 2) try disabling any plug-ins you might have

Let me know if this doesn't fix it.

That's the weirdest thing! None of our icons - can you check what add-ons you're running for Firefox? .. they look like media buttons which might suggest you have some plug-in which automatically adds next/prev buttons to web pages?

I'm guessing .. can't imagine where those are coming from.

Try a cache reload by holding down the Control key and click refresh?

Can we get the whole of the "last post" cell to be clickable to the last read post, rather than just the little arrow?

Hi Laurie.
The login/messages link that usually sits in the top right corner has disappeared. Is this a change, an error or are my eyes painted on? Tried to do a screen dump but it did not work. I can get messages by finding my last post and clicking on my user name
Cheers

I don't like the lack of page numbers on a long thread. Like we know funny images is 134 pages ish
It used to have 1, 2, 3, 4 .............. 133, 134 and you could clink on the number

Now I have to click on the thread title, then click last when I get there.

Not exactly a big one, but convenience... for those of us who are hardly ever here it is faster

Ahh, yes. It's my own fault. Plugin related as you deduced. All fixed now.

You're right nothing else works either, but.......
Figured it out. It happens only while in incognito mode on chrome on the iPad.
I tried Safari in private browsing and had the same issue.
Incognito and Private both work on the desktop though. Weird.
