Broke my trusty ol' Ozi Concave boosting off a hydrant back in the day.

Glad to see the authorities are now encouraging that behaviour!

I guess the options are to die of fright, die of being eaten by a killer whale, die of cold water immersion, or die from FECAL contamination from being immersed in the pristine Arctic waters via overflow from the cockpit!

Right whale, wrong place

PS - It probably just had some krill stuck in its teeth and needed a tooth pick.

PPS - Pardon my pessimism but is this a legit photo?

similar thing happened to me on a stand-up last year about 2k off the coast, water like glass, thought i saw a whale; then after standing still and looking for 20min i gave up and continued paddling. about one minute later and than less than a few feet in front of me this thing breaches and i totally died in the ass...

Our planet is populated with plenty of
bizarre and astonishing creatures.
Here are three from the Bat Family,
without the need for resorting to fiction.

The Sucker-footed Bat

The Red-Winged Fruit Bat

The Red- Headed Ding Bat,

Incapable of many things but will suck the blood out of
the Australian Taxpayers.
