I've noticed the following:

1.- There's more jellyfish in the sea.
2.- There's way more Indians, Chinese... people.
3.- There's way, way more traffic... it's like queuing from traffic light to traffic light.
4.- I earn ~100% more, but I pay ~120% more for everything except electronics, which have become cheap as chips... but less after sales "Hi [customer], is everything OK with your new purchase?"

5.- People are more aggressive and rarely give you a "Thanks" gesture... I remember motorcyclist always nodded, then I stopped riding for a couple years, then bought a BMW and nobody nodded... I figured it was cos I rode a BMW... now I'm back on a Yamaha, and I rarely get a nod.

6.- There are toll roads, bus lanes, cycle lanes everywhere in Sydney ... the cycle and bus lanes are completely uncongested while the car lanes are like parking lots.

7.- There's more good looking women around, but more women who don't check me out too .
8.- A lot more fish and prawns are now farmed.
9.- Coles and Woolies super markets look a lot better.
10.- Everyone's got an iFone
11.- There are more fancy cars around.
12.- The average house price around me is $1,500,000... and I have to keep moving further out.
13.- I don't see those "Buy Australian" or those "warehouse clearance" where the they SHOUT at you commercials.

The weather's always been a little unpredictable, and it hasn't changed.

Good observations Flysurfer. I agree.

The disturbing thing I've noticed is the lack of fresh fish available for sale in all those parts of Australia known for it's fishing.

McMansions - why do people with one kid or no kids live in these fricken huge stupid places with no land - I don't get that.

My dick doesn't work as well as it used to. Can't piss as hard or as high as I did 10 years ago - I used to love pissing high into the wind.

Agreed on the McMansions. Why can't I get a small house on decent block without being an hour from the City? It wasn't that long ago you could....
But a 400% increase in property prices in 10yrs has stuffed me now....

My arms have gone shorter. If I get drunk I can't function for 3 days. I sleep in front of TV and go to bed to sleep! I have grand kids!
Before I do something I ask myself: Is it safe?

10 years ago I was hard-working, good job, good money, nice house, company car, married, 3 young kids, playing rugby and surfing a lot.

Now: divorced, retired from rugby, no job, renting, doing second year of Nursing degree and just about to move to Finland to complete my studies and live with my new lady.

During the 10 years I learned to kite, left my job to work in the kite industry, played heaps of rugby, watched my kids grow up and pissed off the wife because of my obsession for kiting.

anyone looked at porn lately? (silly question right? we all have the internet and that's what it's for)

ever noticed the change? keeping in mind anyone could read this so don't want to be too rude but what was the limit of mainstream in the 80's is the standard in the 90's and so on. the stuff that is standard now is disturbing. add to that everyone can access soo much for free daily i reckon will become an issue / noticible in society. this is the first generation with so much exposure.

And if you have seen clerks two A2M is not okay, even in the heat of passion.

Farms used to grow all sorts of fruit and vegetables.

Most of these farms are now called wineries.

- Takes me 10 times longer to recover from minor sporting injuries
- I no longer eat McDonalds
- Have to get up 3 times a night to pee
- There used to be places in town where you can go out and there were no people around... now there is no such place any more

4.- I earn ~100% more, but I pay ~120% more for everything except electronics,

- Earn 370% more, but pay at least ~200% more for everything, and still find it twice as hard to save money even though I try to budget
- Can't book a tradie to do anything under $1000 bucks
- There is 50 times more speeding cameras around
- No longer believe in "get rich quickly" idea
- I access Seabreeze at least once a day
- Do'nt have patience to play computer games any more
- Became more emotional
- The movies and television becomming a lot more boring and un-original
- A lot more scared to fly on the planes

I used to have a 1998 R1 and a 2003 R1... best bike I've ever owned. Everyone nodded at me, even the Harley riders... I don't remember seeing those skeleton masks on them though.

Then I got the BMW K1300R... awesome bike except for crap engineering, after 600k's the engine started making a weird noise, the steering was crooked and it lent to the right!
Now I have XT1200Z, all good... a little slow though... it's like riding a Jeep.
....
Here's another change a notice... everyday I almost run over one of those dumb people seafever17's talking about, they wear some kind of white wire hanging from either side of their head.

I always try and do what's best for the planet, parents were hippies who lived in a camper van or boat and I grew up with recycled clothes.

That's Mum and I in the van... she pasted away in May .
