OOOOh , my kinda thread. For the WA woodworkers who like free wood. I am in the process of pulling down a 110+ yr old norfolk island pine and ai have just dropped the top. I've saved as many pieces of branch junctions and limbs as i could ,but don't have time to put them on the lathe.pieces up to 1.5m long and some stuff150mm round. apparently it makes amazing bowls and turns real noice. its the closest timber to hoop pine and you aint gonna get that fresh in WA. .It was cut today green. Im coming down to the coast (sth of pinjarra) in 2 weeks so you can pick up. if you come on the right day you can wander through my private forest of sheok, banksia, and teatree and have a scrounge. the banksias make awesome slabs. PM or txt to 0417927995. PS Im on the hunt for broken carbon masts for a gaff dinghy project
