Ive been really liking the Kings Of Leon lately.
I think their two best songs on their album would have to be the ones played and played and played on the radio.
Strong vocals and feel good guitar.
Whats your flavour of the month?

Blue king brown's 'Water' is dead set kn killer tune!!

Been getting into Janis Joplin (again) lately and listening to the live version of Big Brother and the holding company's '(Everybody's) Down on me' with the smokin guitar solo is a fave for pre kiting. What a voice Janis had.

I used to like kings of leon , then Hot Fm ( which we are forced to listen to at work) absolutely played them to DEATH!

once a day i can handle , 5 times a day at exactly the same time everyday is BULLCRAP!

My favy at the mo is The Presets , Kicking and screaming.
Awesome song

Alltime Favourite song ever is TooL , Reflection.
Awesome guitar good lyrics just a damn good song. goes for 11 something minutes tho

Her tis.. an absolute b@lltearer and good sound (ish) for a 68 live recording - er the film clip version is a dud but this 'high-tec' collage is the winner for sound.

Tame Impala : Half Full Glass Of Wine - Love the timing/pitch change at the start... Killer toon

Empire Of The Sun - Walking On A Dream - Home grown boy Luke Steele is uber talented but I worry one day he is gonna be the next victim of stage pyrotechnics vs too much hair product?? Great toon too - might be well sick of it by the end of summer though cause golden pop always gets slogged too hard over the sunny season.

Yea closer is a top song Kings have some awesome tracks!!!!

I hope that they manage to stay together after the recent talk of them breaking up proir to the tour due to the leadsinger going to hard on the booze....I thought all rock legends take that hand in hand with the business?

I'm liking this song off the new Cut Copy album at the moment, and there Aussie's bonus...........

EDIT: Not sure why but link doesn't work??? double click play button in centre to go to you tube to listen.

Anyone heard the new Beastie Boys album! Its really good!

All instrumentals! Super mellow!

Its called Beaties Boys: The Mix Up!

I definately recommend to go pick up this record!

Super Impressed of everyones taste tho! So glad its not the Pussycat Dolls and Lady Gaga!

The commercial music scene has sucked for the past 5 years! Its about time some decent aussie bands have made it through!!!

Hey mate if u like their instrumental stuff check out the BB's "In sound from way out" CD from er... 12 yrs ago or so. Some killer acid jazz (hey the term wasn't that old then) and porno stylee 70s funk on there. Killer chiller for sure..

Aren't the Lings of Keon overt christians? That may explain the lack of patience with the slopped up singer? Or he has barfed in their tour bus loo too many times!?

Not their best, but coming from my old home town, thought I'd promote their latest stuff.

Bit of Kim Salmon, with a video of Fiona Horn in Granny undies for ya

One of my favourite Aus rockers Nick Barker, great live track

And the most disturbing clip of all time bit of Aphex Twin

Mate!! Kim Salmon is one of the all time Oz greatest but has never received anywhere near the acclaim he should have. Had the pleasure of working with him a couple of times. He is ahem.. away with the fairies a bit but what a showman (spesh with the Surrealists).

Great film clip too. Couldn't quite work out what Fiona was saying (crazy witchy that she is) but I could see her lips moving.. Sorry - it is Monday morining

Aphex twin's clips are always super freaky. Spesh when watching Rage at 4 am pining for sleep

How's about some Beasts.. Haven't got a copy of this in the car but will change that this arvy. Pity I couldn't find a decent live version as that's where they shine. Having said that as much as I love the Beasts, Tex is a king sized nong!

Pleased I'm not the only one that thinks Kim Salmons got a raw deal, he's been around for ever, and is pretty much still unknown.

Tex is the man!, better get a lawyer better get a real good one, can't top that.
Aus alternative rock is the best.

Theres a band with members from the old Tism called Root with a song " I wish I was Tex Perkins"

but the song the kicks ass is " Spring me out of Caroline Springs Caroline"
that probably won't mean much to people in WA, but its a suburb in the middle of
nowhere, bloody funny

check out
myspace.com/rootthemusic

just checked out your Janis track, not bad at all, never really listened much to her stuff much, to distracted by the Band of Gypsies Machine Gun, blows my head off every time. Hope people dig up some cool songs people haven't heard, rather than the same old same old
cheers

Sorry Dr Strange, but I'd be riding an atom bomb cowboy style from a B52, if I had to listen to that again. Was it meant to be ska? I'm not knocking ska, there are some brilliant tracks out there, but that aint one. Have a look at Madness and Reel Big Fish, there are better ones out there but cant think of them right now.;

How about a bit of the Mark of Cain , still just a cover, I like it Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie
