North Vegas !!! 10m in 28- 33 knots. Animal kite like an r1 or cr 500. I got a rebel 9m more like a nice Honda bross 250. Does what you want when you want great for jumping **** for loops. Had a shot of my mates evo in 25knots on New Years what a kite will be looking at a quiver of evos this coming winter season they are like a mix of all. Fly one !!!

Nice, the 9 was my fave, the v2 enduro on freestyle/ fast/ short backline has a very similar feel but more umphhhhhhhhh, I'm jumping a bit bigger than the Vegas 2013/14 on the enduro v2 with the added advantage of changing the settings to freeride n wave,

Couldn't quite reach the same height yet as I had on the 2013/2014 Vegas, on Enduro V1. What's the reason you don't fly it on Wave setting in the waves?

Hi

I was in a similar situation to you... found a great kite after trying lots North Evo 2017. Have had a phenomenal season in my 10m. So wanted to get a 12/13 for the slightly lighter wind days.... tested the 2018 Evo, like Eppo says the kite has gone to ****. It feels so soft and distant, it's like a beginners kite, there is just no excitement to it. Tested the Core XR5, bought one the next day.

Eppo you will have to come and have a test when we ever get wind in the estuary again.

After playing on the XR5 8m & 9m im really enjoying the big jumps you can do on flatwater and how easily you can pull loops "very late" near the top - and it will still catch you for a soft landing...
Allrounder ?
Depends if your into fast medium or slow turning kites. Very intersting bow delta shape but it works for its intended purpose
You can park and ride this kite but wouldnt say its good for beginners - definitely not much fun as a wave or freestyle kite however if you just want to go old school, big or air megaloops, the XR5 is worth looking into. I use my own 58cm bar and custom adjustable Y line to suit conditions.
The Pond got a good look at what it could do on flatwater the other day - cant wait to get out in my favourite wave direction. Bring on the winter storms :)

Gazuki,
is it just me or do I see more GTS4s in this XR5 video WTF lol

Been loving the v2 enduro, the allround kite was what I was chasing, as we've a big mix of conditions, other kites I looked at were gts4, bandit, Evo, plus a few others, jumps best on freestyle and short backline, very reactive and quick through the window, time it right and it
gives some great lift, the 8 wrenches you of the water with increased height, not a Woo owner but this jump was on the 10 in ok winds,in flat to chop water, looking across lagoon I was level with
Fishermans memorial, around 40 ft 15 mtrs ish, so it jumps great but I'm really enjoying my sessions in all conditions on this kite, certainly worth a run

Do yourself a favor and give an Airush Union 3 a demo.
It's a great all rounder and with good technique it goes massive

Yep I'll second that. The boost on this thing is insane
