Yo Eppo, the easist trickstyle move is the forward with downloop, beit transition or straight move. Cause as you throw yourself into the the move, you are throwing yourself towards the kite, hence, lovely landing, not too powered up etc.
Backs are a bit different, as you are throwing your body weight against the pull of the kite and things can get a bit jumbled up as you can't see what your kite is doing.
Remeber this, as Turtle hunter said "commit" and as I explained in in my previous post "don't back out".
Not meaning to be condecending, but it's really quite simple
1
All bar completly fu-kin up, the kite will be above or in front of you
2
You are harnessed from the waist, what direction will you be travelling after a kite loop ? If you answered (forward) you get ten points
3
Allow enough air time i:e speed of kite, amount of pop, size of kite etc. (smaller kites in high winds do get a little excitable) to allow your move to be completed, therefore saying, you don't want to be facing backwards as your kite is lifting out of it's downloop.
On saying that, you don't won't to be over rotated either. If this happens, pull the bar in with both hands (gravity will be your friend here), yes you will be whipped up into the air, wriggling and dangling, but at least your'e gonna have time to get your s-it together before you land.
Hope this helps, not just you Eppo, but to all those who wanna keep it real.
Nice one epp now try the flip loop to toeside and 1 1/2 loop flip transition
I switched out my pads on the wave with some thick soft ones made a huge diff to the impacts, couldn't handle the big hits after crushing my knee cartilage getting stronger though.
Cheers VB man yeh the forward roll with done loop is a piece of piss not sure why he can't do them as his back roll back loops are perfect. Will re read what ya said and yes keep it real.
Radman did the same. Put some shinn monk pads and straps on mine as I likes them so much on the shinn and yeh makes a huge difference. Hey can you describe the toe side moves in a bit more detail. I can forward rotate with a down loop from the toes. Have land a couple of back loop back rolls off the toes but what are you talking about. Always want to try more and keep it reall
Just do a regular backflip loop but pivot hips forward and land toe instead of heel, for the 1 1/2 loop we call it the handstab ,usually do it just before shore ,crank along and edge over hard stab your hand in the water and start to loop at same time drag your hand through the flip and keep cranking the kite you'll land going the other way as the kite is completing the half loop, try it in deeper water till you get it perfected so you don't munt yourself on shore.
