Hey Leigh, good to hear you're still on the path! You'll probably beat me to foiling.. I put myself under serious stress last season trying to get on the water to learn foiling and I got 6 sessions in a whole season, most of them with one eye on the clock. So I sold my spotz and I'll buy in again in a few years when the kids are more self-sufficient.

Yeah will be interesting to see some independent reviews of this one. It's fairly unique. I think gong had a carnard foil that was pretty crap. But it's Zeeko so...

Wonder how it rides backwards, cause someone's gonna mount it backwards for sure..

Hi Dave, still got my L plates on.So will keep trying to crack a good run.I asked Tony "Railing
If fuselage and foils of the Zeeko Spitfire can be retrofitted to the Black &white or Blue & white
Foils. The Wave foil looks like more of the surfboard feel.

Mast is the same however the plate of the Spitfire has angle therefore you will need the Spitfire specific plate... Now if you keep switching between the BW and Spitfire, it is gonna be a pain as you will need to carry around a torque wrench. Chances are that you will damage the thread overtime as well....

So I wonder if this will be easier for us twin tip and SB riders to learn on. The one thing I constantly hear and read is "put more weight on the front foot". I've always resisted the foil because of this complete different stance thing......

swavek, that will work fine for learning. I bought the Liquid force foil fish to learn and outgrew and upgraded within 3 months - it was simply too slow and cumbersome to do anything other than cruise around at TT speeds.

Mind you, it did its job at its price point very well. It was a very stable platform on which to learn. That's Arrow foil is much higher performance so will need to be ridden faster than my old foil fish to fly, but otherwise will work. Your crashes will be more spectacular mind you !

Sorry no one answered you earlier, thread dropped out of sight too quick I guess.

Apologies to seller but i would definitely not recommend the rush randle foil in buy & sell section right now to anyone for more than a few hundred bucks as a novelty or piece of kite history. You'd be utterly mad to spend $1900 on it like they're asking.

For those looking at the Zeeko Spitfire as a beginner foil the word is that it is different from normal foiling in as much as it is steered with rear foot pressure much as a TT or SB. Not front foot pressure as a normal foil.
For beginners this is probably no problem as it will be feeling more natural. For experienced Foileurs again it will be a relatively simple adaptation.
For those just mastering foiling and just getting the muscle memory worked out, it might present the most fun.

Jamesperth and kitboy Dave,
Thanks for a word of advice. Could not wait patiently and ended up buying another one. It was a home job of a bloke who worked within industry using similar materials as hydrofoil. Supposedly it is a copy of spotz 2. there is another one that looks similar to what I bought on seabreeze:

hope it is good for learning.....

Bah humbug It's great fun carving around in "waves" and stuff. Seriously considering getting another one and a Naish Hover 130 board...!

3rd session in and I swear half way through it I thought I'm gonna sell this fckn God damn thing. Wind went off the boil, already have to spend half an hour getting out there, and it just wasn't happening.

Then I got up on the foil, and kept it there for a good 100m. Then the wind totally died back again and I'm not good enough on the 8m to make it work yet.

I was so pissed off, shouing and cursing everything that essentially exists, then I noticed the girl on the boat had great boobs. Straight after that I did the longest foil ride. somehting in that maybe...

Haha. True. But see, that powder riding balancing act is attracting the good looking females. That is due to them knowing that foilers have an amazing core and huge amount of skills and are fearless. And of course they know that freestylers spend too much time watching their own vids, sb riders too much time at the hairdresser, and kooks in the kite shop. Shouting helps differentiating you from those who's core is a bit too developed
Cauncy collects pics if those I think

I wonder what would happen if we just turned our normal fuselages around ....

and russkraut, Cauncy will no doubt be like a pig in sh1T, drinking his Guinness on the back of his ute, laughing his ass off as I get smashed in the dongora ocean.

Apparently you can on the Zeeko foils--just turn the wings around.

Yep thanks, J Shapes, based in NZ. Almost too good looking to ride on it and possibly damage it.

Ral Inn, zeeko distributor for Vic I believe, has done a good job gathering spitfire reviews here for anyone interested.
