correct me if i'm wrong; but I always thought that "kiteloops" were a brightly coulored triangular breakfast cerial, with little, if any, nutritional value and way too much sugar for the average human!
I always did them with a SPOON!

i liked that lenten one soo much better, he looped on teh way up, and on a c, and in similar winds..

HUUUUUUUUUUGE air though!!!! did he leave the jewels on the beach to do that or what?!

short on the crown jewels I am sorry to say - gave it 3 tries and on the third I got close but no cigar... the wind may have been too light - was only on the 10 and I was downlooping a few turns and there was bugger all pull...

Tried first one just jumping and second 2 with a back flip - certainly easier with a back flip... I think that is the plan!

Its definately all in the mind though... surely

Bring on the weekend...

kiteloops -speed - unhooked- hit wave- backroll -loop -backroll- head down wind for a fast landing . double backroll loops are much easier in the waves and unhooking makes it safer as big crashes are all apart of the fun, but it doesn't take long to get them . just go for it you .its all about your timimng , you dont have to be going that fast when your learning . try do a backroll with the loop( hooked in it at first) it will help you with the timing . dont loop the kite to fast at first as you will land on your head , let the kite pull you off the water and as soon as that happens crank the loop , if all goes to plan you will land down wind and above water good luck .

whoo hooo completed my first successful kiteloop/backloop and thanks to everyone here who assisted...

mind you for one success there have been numerous failures and boy can they sting!!

being in the over 35 group I was like "alrightttttt" when I saw the big bruise on my rib cage... amazing how the rush of this sport overcomes most things... might be a different story when I climb out of bed though tomorrow!!!

Hey ive always ride a c kite and now im on a 13m fuel, kiteloops in smaller or bow kites look heaps easier, i cant believe you think a fuel has too much power, a north rhino 02 has power[}:)]

I always thought C's were earier for loops as the pivot more on the wing tip ?

harry go read the ne iksurf mag n ul see that c dominates loops..

oceaneer... i think for most riders the fuel has more then enough grunt though! haha i remember the first hooked loop i threw on the 13 i was demoing and i wasnt expecting the pull i got.. ( thought it wud b similar to waroo) but was i rong!! i got spankizzled with the stopper set up close!!!!!! ahhhh wudnt want to even think about how a oldschool limited depower kite would loop

I kinda feel pretty lame after watching this tacker...

Some good points to learn perhaps.. the two hand grip means full on cmmitment.. no chickening out once you have started!

Hi all, Don't normally post. Chucked my first Hooked F16. Kite loop back loop 2 weeks ago testing the 13m 08 Best Yarga. Slightly underpowered conditions. Just went in hard and held on tight. Totally addicted now. Just got a new kite, 18m Airush Reactor 06. Can't believe this kite. Went out in 15-18 knots. Me 86kg and 125x 39 board. lit.... Took a couple of run's then figured F!@!# it. Went in hard, Kite made it back up top but I stuffed the landing. Second and third goes, nailed it. Can't believe how fast and violent the wip is on this kite. Has totally changed my out look. As long as you comit and don't ***** out half way it's all good. As I stated at the begining. I am no expert, but go hard, start small and enjoy. After your first loop you will be sooooooo Stoked!!!!!!!>
Cheers
