Got a call yesterday from the ranger to say a kiter was stranded on the reef
This in a 25knt straight offshore
Loads of buildings and as dunes to make it even worse windwise
Tiss silly season

That's OK, one day you will kite 38 kn. Not a few gusts to 38kn on a 25-30kn day ........ .....I mean proper 35-39kn solid for 5 hrs like we had 2 days ago. Now add overhead waves and being 400km from the city like real mean do.

Then when u have a drama, people like Chris, Eppo and Caunce come help you Mr Expert

Another kiter and I were kiting at Leighton yesterday evening doing long tacks to train for the redbull L2L. We went out for one last 4-5km long tack, got back, and landed out kites. Less than ten minutes after landing the wind died and turned offshore! We were very lucky we got back in time as usually the wind doesn't die for another hour or two. It would have been an embarrassing push of my plb and rescue from the coast guard or the container boats we would have been drifting towards.

Don’t let big winds and big waves and big boosts and big ego’s (if applicable) get in the road of looking out and being courteous to your fellow kiters. No disrespect to anybody here but there seems to be a lot of anger in the thread… why? Chill out, life’s short…

it looks like it happened again yesterday, another kiter drifting in woodies....

The main issue I see is using a surfboard at woodies

Seriously though. There are soooo many kooks in Perth. Even the blow-in school instructors are kooks.

It was mentioned a school is operating inside the pond now. Are you feking serious???

Last season I was disturbed by the level of dumb****ery. This season, albeit early, the level has grown exponentially. Add the usual nob-end kite tourist and you have yourself one big kook sh!tstorm

There was a guy from seabreeze kiteschool trying to teach someone at woodies beach 3 yesterday. Guy was dropping his kite everywhere and getting in the way...

Wa crew are flat out chargers dont pay no mind what others think, take Colin Barnet for example he spent all the mining revenue on a gold trim marble toilet seat.

Kitesurfing does attract a great variety of bell ends and old wizards.

I spotted Mal the other day at my local pointbreak.

He looked a little bit coy.

I waved to him and he mouthed the words "Hi Bro" back to me.

Cool.

Sorry to all those who dont want to be stranded on mud flats overnight who havent received their "Free iDri" as yet.
Between my crazy life events and Seabreeze having a super spam filter many may not have received their reply email from me &/or havent been replied to.
If you are one of those and are still hoping for some follow thru on a freebie iDri - Please message me again. they are sitting here waiting for you.
Abject apologies for slack follow thru so far. All set to get them out to you now.
Message me.
cheers
