Hey lads,
is there any price money for the race?
What is the seaweed situation up there atm?

Sounds like an epic Pole-dancing event.

Cheers
Marv

LOC Update.

Just to clarify a few issues the event is run by the Lancelin Chamber of Commerce.
WAKSA is providing assistance similar to what we do with L2L.

We are presently clarifying a few details with the LOC event organisers (i.e. course and boats etc).A further update and final details will be ready later tonight or early tomorrow a.m.

You will need flares and a life jacket the same as last year and proof (i.e. tag or card) of a current valid KA/WAKSA membership.

If you have joined at the last minute you will need a copy of the confirmation e-mail.

During the registration, the question is asked if you are WAKSA member to get a discount on registration.

I highly doubt you need to to be a member of WAKSA to participate on this race.

Ah read the PDF in detail it is less markers than last year and you go through hole in the wall, much easier.
The course is set be the locals who know the hazards and we have oats on marks this year so all good guys.

BTW we have heaps of spots for Waves and Freestyle so get in to it.

Hi Darren,

Have been asked by a friend who is coming down from Singapore just for the race if he needs to be a WAKSA member.

Let's stop asking WAKSA if they want your money or not. The event is open to all kiters. If you are a member of WAKSA there is a small discount applied. You might consider WAKSA membership for many different ethical/social/insurance reasons of your beliefs, but this it's not essential for joining the Lancelin race.
