I'll be down at narrowneck sometime next week.. Work trip and a kite also.

I'll be sure to keep a look out for the sign in sheet. When I see it I'll be sure to grab it and dash off for a quick Nard in the dunes however I will leave the sheet where I found it.
Also I'm gonna short tack all session..
I'll be on a BWS so come say herro!

9m Pivot, Blue Shinn TT - possibly this Saturday or Sunday. Say hello.
I have taught many people (including my children) about bullies and how to deal with them.
Old mate needs to step away. I like his kiting style but he is being a dick.
Obviously someone has frustrated him however I don't know a kiting spot that I have been to that some dick (including experienced kiters) has done something stupid or unsafe.
Defensive driving guys. It's the idiot in the other car that you have to watch.

Narrowneck has been a wind sports favourite since the seventies, always fun always moderated due to it being between two sets of lifeguard flags actually the same surf breaks as the other mega kilometres of beach either side. The general vibe is ride a wave go out to sea upwind and then ride a wave like a merry go round and don't get in anybodys way..........people don't get that and ride in and out dropping in and jumping without warning just because locals will launch and land you. cop some flack princesses.

Princesses? Is that bad label? Please explain to my girls why growing up and having responsibilty for people other than youself is a bad thing ...
Bottom line is we need rules for busy spots that need to be posted in a obvious spot.
To exclude craft (tt) rather than focusing on inconsiderate dangerous kiting behavior adds nothing to growing our sport..

There seems to be a lot of interest in this thread, nearly 3000 reads!
I would assume that because people are inquisitive, you may get a bigger crowd than usual at ur favorite spot!

There will be a crew of us doing a downwinder on Saturday on tt's and surfboards, because we have a choice on what to ride.

We may call in and join u on that merry go round for a few laps, u never know.....
I am well aware of how it works at the neck, as I have ridden there before (on my tt) without a problem.
I will let the other guy's with me know about "the new/old rules" so as not to create any "bad vibes".

C U out there biatches!

YeeeeeooooOoooow!

Not sure if this is a piss take or not. However I do like to stir people up too. Going to pick up a cheap $200 kite and lines from the by sell section this weekend. Head down soon for a look at this spot. I guess if anyone has a got a problem with my TT I will just wrap my kite around theirs, flag out and go home (opps it was an accident). Buy another and do the same the next week (Opps another accident) until the attitude changes.

If this is a piss take then I will just end up with a cheap spare kite. lol

Why did you post this photo? are these supposed to be the local enforcers?

Guy front and centre can't even grow a decent F%#king moustache let alone regulate a break.

I would never accept localism from someone with such a piss poor attempt at facial hair

Just trying to set the record straight and to be fair to the real DK

At first, I too thought this post was the guy DK just putting a S_ _ t Stir post up as there is a little bit of truth to the post about the close-ish proximity of the flags and people with not enough ability or experience for the location, not following the rules or the circuit there when it gets a little crowded plus the real DK as well a few other core Kiters are known to be proactive in self regulating of their local and rightfully so, pull into check anyone not doing the right thing at the location. As they simply do not want the spot they have been enjoying for some 30 years plus of Windsurfing and Kiting there, having restrictions placed on the location caused by inconsiderate's coming there and just doing what they want or think at the expense of everyone else that uses the area.

On speaking with the real DK only two days ago at the location about this post, he was pretty pissed off (with good reason) and emphatic it was not him or his post on here, alias or otherwise, of which I believe his sincerity as Coltech put it, there would have been a lot of EFFING C's in the vocabulary if it was him Instead this post was started by someone who obviously knows the real DK and the local scene at Nazzas to TROLL a post and cause a S_ _ t Stir, which no doubt a lot of you here that posted had taken the bait and went down the normal petty insult and Neanderthal rabble pathway of thinking and comment With the exception of those trying to correct the implied post or those in support of sensible considerate use of the area as all sane thinking people would expect the same courtesy at locations they use and frequent, unless they are a COMPLETE DROP DEAD MORON

I personally don't believe making statements on our posts about dangerous activity caused by Kiting is any help to us collectively as this could be what the TROLL is baiting with to come out and say, so it may give them AMMO to the Authorities if they have some gripe with us, which has happened in the past with a certain guy trying to do exactly this for Kiting at Currumbin. Think about it guys and gals, dangerous to what? Riding a bicycle is a dangerous activity, just look at how many of those get squashed like a bug or they fall off and break an arm, leg, head injury or cause it to someone else!

Getting back to DK and the Crew at Nazza's, ever since I have been kiting there over the past approx. 8 years, I have a lot of respect for these guys and I have found them to always be welcoming and easy to get along with. No doubt if your intending to be a FW at the location, then it stands to reason that those that have the KAHUNAS to try and make an effort to self regulate the area for the majority of our benefit are going to have some stern words and advice to say to pull you up from being a TOTAL DICK , not observing right of way, the location rules or surf kiting etiquette.

In the words of the Local Authority here, If everyone plays nice and does the right thing, then there is no problem!

I'm developing a new Jetski/2 tiered foil kite hybrid surf technique(if I stack in waves I need atleast 100m clearance down wind to relaunch both the kites and prime the JetSki).
You should easily be able to identify me if u want to come say hello on the beach(I wear a snorkel pretty much permanently because I body drag ALOt) and this beach and its stringent safety procedures sounds perfect for me to refine my skills.

Can't wait to get out and carve with best of them and meet all u friendly folk!!

In regards to the photo the boys are all in shock thinking **** did DK really do that to that twin tipper lol!! And on a serious note i'd be welcomed there any time with guys who would kite/windsurf better than most of the usual **** wits who post on SB. but yeah pretty sad mo lol.

Funny as
50kms of onshore crappy beach breaks and some hard "core" lol crew are trying to police a couple of hundred meters of it thats between two sets of flags.

If they were that concerned about public safety etc they would not kite there at all.
No matter how core you think you are, things go wrong, snap a line ect, that could see you get washed through the flagged area. So why kite there at all when there is miles of the exact beach and sloppy waves either side ????

But I guess to be really core you need a shower right next to your car and not have to walk more than 10m to pump up whilst sipping your coffee latte decaf with a twist of lemon and chocolate sprinkles and wires running from your SUV battery to your electric kite pump. lol Ahhhh the pretentious Gold Coast metrosexual scene. Makes the Bondi beach surfers look hard core.

If this topic isnt a joke.....well... it is.

I see during my absence there has be much controversy about this post many here are acting like a bunch of women with their panties in a knot. Please stay tuned as I will be submitting the preliminary sign in sheet template to this forum for review and comment in addition, a narrow neck eligibility flow chart is currently being drafted and will be released shortly. The eligibility flowchart will assist riders arriving at narrow neck as to weather they will be permitted to ride the break.
