Awesome. I'm super envious. None of my kids are interested in kiting yet.

Buy my boy is into bmx and mountain biking! so that is also damn cool.

Me and Eppo watched him having a good old chuckle
You couldn't get him in, he was loving it
Give him a few years and he's gonna be ripping

3.5 hrs on a 2003 airush trax board (remember those), no rocker, zero flex in dongora chop 16-20 knots. Fell
Asleep at 7pm, didn't get though his dinner. 730am blood shot eyes he's back at the beach surfing.

DAD has his ankle, wrist and knee in braces, hocked up on voltaren. The wind doesn't fckn stop here!! Hate getting old.

Got the inevitable question... "dad, do you unhook?" As he fell asleep. Dear me it's not long now before he finds out I'm a hooked in old school washed out kook...lol.

Time I got him up the pond so Jason and mark's sons (killing it now) can show him the ropes while dad tries to learn to foilboard... far out

Call out to Tristan and Nathan ... fancy taking on a young ripper in the making ??

The age old question. When does the student become the master.?

Cool! mine is only 18 months and I got us (i know...) an electric skateboard to ensure board feel is embedded in early enough. Eppo, just unhook you old bugger! Got to make sure to keep the respect from the little man.

Well yeh my unhooking days are over. I will show him the basics though.

Those electric skateboards are unreal. Got one of those evolve GT models. Antman loves cruising around on it good call.

Hey Eppo,

Nate & Tris are always up for meeting and kiting with more kiting kids, they are having a ball late kiting the Pond now after sunset, only time they can have the Pond to themselves.

Yeh was Jason's mentioned it last time I was up your way.

Will PM you my number man flick us a connecting text maybe we can sort something. Appreciate it, the only other young bloke down here batesey's son (who is also doing really well) is 17 now so to hang with your little bloke (whose a dead set legend in the making, got big balls already) would really help.

Cheers man.

eppo and plummet it's great to see your young fellas following in your footsteps. How long do you think it will be until they start talking themselves up on the internet???

Well plummets kid has nothing to do with the post and can I be frank. Come and ride with me and you'll see there is nothing I need to talk up about. I'd be too busy tearing you a new one and showing the world what kooks you really are. Unless that involves a foilboard, I'm outrageously crap at that... so far

I didn't even put the post up in the first place.

But two stoked dads with their kids learning the sport they love.

I'm a little disappointed in your comments (but not surprised) and mow the lawns as well. which have been deleted. I'm not so sure what you hope to achieve apart from making yourself look like complete asses.

...and as always feel free to join us for a session anytime so I can shut your stupid mouths once and for all. With my riding of course ....

Ps for the record I'm in touch with the boys father in those photos can't wait for my son to meet him and have a session. So thanks Cauncy for kind of making that happen.

The fact that you reply by talking yourself up on the Internet- that's just gold

Well done Expo in teaching your son. Ive just taught my 14 yr old and am now loving going kiting with him. However, the first few goes were incredibly nerve racking for me, way more than learning myself.
Has your boy had any need to self rescue yet, I'm still dreading that even though we've prepared for it.

I think its a great gift to give to your kids to get them passionate about something, especially when it involves the power of nature and the ocean, not to mention the release of your own endorphins.

Hehehehe... I'll offer the same as eppo. Come and see me and see if you can keep up with this old man for one day. I'll be impressed if can actually ride all the equipment I do.

PS Kitesurfing is only one of the sports I do... ... . . .. . .... . .

I wasn't say you guys don't shred I was just making a cheeky remark about the fact you both like to let everyone on the internet know how hard you shred.

Which you both promptly confirmed by letting me know how hard you shred

Yep you got me there. The irony wasn't lost on me either when I reread what I wrote this morning. Think I was still mad at mow the lawns comment to be honest. Although retrospectively that was pretty funny to.

On a more positive note caught up with Dave and matt from Horrocks yesterday in dongora... damn that young fella matt is coming along with his riding.

Oh to have been in our early twenties (or younger) when this sport arrived ....
