yean dangleree's one armed trick's.. whats up with that.. would be good if you utilised this skill by doing some solid grabs, but instead it looks sloppy and serves no purpose other then that if you have one buggered shoulder you could still throw tricks with your good arm. pretty average edit too..

Well, I am not a huge fan of Langeree's one-armed dangling either..
But technically, he is pretty darn good at throwing powered moves as well. Not as good as Hadlow (IMO he is quite far beyond of everyone else), but certainly he has not been consistently among the top for no reason. He does some very decent wave riding also.

Dre's video is just chilled, and it is good to have those kinds of videos as a contrast to the hectic skater kid stuff. But technically there is nothing extraordinary about it, so I don't see a reason to create a hype.

I enjoyed the FOne video a lot - It had the atmosphere, high quality filming, technical difficulty and a showed good variety of styles.
I like Hadlow's videos as well, which are very HD and display the difficulty of his tricks very nicely.

What I miss are some good oldschool videos, like big air with fancy boardoffs, hand stands and creative/goofy moves.

Bottom line is, it is good to have variety as opposed to the repetitive competition stuff.

@Steven: That's what I am talking about man!
Why not run more oldschool comps.. would be an entertaining circus show and more appealing to most spectators.

it would be funny, but lets not do it please, the sport already is known as the rollerblading of the ocean, don't want it to end up like rollerblading

Lol rollerblading of the ocean.. have not heard about that before, but for most people it is quite true. I would love to see the kite waterski trend hitting the market hard as well

But I don't think many non-kiters see the sport as lame.. mates of mine do martial arts, are decent surfers etc, but find kiting too scary.
So for both our image and the sake of less crowded spots we have to reinforce that public perception how extreme the sport is, and the DEADMAN would for sure contribute to this!

Ok here's from an old man.

Dre vid wins hands down....first of all he is such a smooth rider with nothing forced. The music matches the riding and it is the vibe of happy kiting with a mate that makes it.

Langreree vid is very samey....always his, "sorry' high handle passes which get really old and kn boring. Furthermore, the music does not match the rider.........no soul here....just a person who has managed a few squigglies, but honestly not a good dancer..........now Dre is in a whole other league.

Old man out.

langeree is an eyesore to watch.

we did nothing (which is dre AND jake... dont forget jake) has riding in there thats good to watch, its got great re watch quality, was never ment to be a look at me i can do a pull up 1080.5 and flail around crap that no one cares about.

as for skating comment, i think you'd find that kevin vid is NOTHING like any skate vids, skate vids dont just smash a million different clips of poorly executed tricks together and just slay it even more with shyt music, they show great follow footy that show whole runs with multiple tricks etc. better flow with better music choice too

Exactly...... when you get long shots from a heli or jet ski following riders watching them link up consecutive tricks it has such better value than a bunch of 3 second clips all mashed together. It give a more true representation of the sport as a whole, culture riding style, not just trickbag checklist like the other vid. I don't think the sport needs to be pushed in the direction of extreme, it already has that, we need more videos like “we did nothing” that show kiteboarding can actually have some style.

First of all I'd like to say Big up to all Australian kiteboarders and thanks for the props and for those who enjoyed "We Did Nothing"!! The crew had a lot of fun making the film and its good to hear feedback.

Seems like there are some people on Seabreeze hating on the film but don't really have good grounds to hate. I don't mind haters but if you hate you have to at least have a good reason. I'm sorry if we come across as some sorta "GANGSTERS" with gang handshakes that wear baggy clothes and listen to GANGSTER music but if you payed any attention to the film we are pretty far from Gangsters. Yes there is a Hip hop song in the intro but we like hip hop, it's part of our lifestyle, so we wanted to have some Hip Hop in our film. We also have a wide variety of other genres of music in there (If you didn't notice). It's very hard to please everyones music tastes in one 8 minute film but I think we did a decent job. As for the "GANGSTER" handshakes I hope you are not foolish enough to consider high 5's and fist bumps as gang signs. And the baggy clothes.... really? That's not gangster. If you were wearing tight shirts and tight jeans I wouldn't call you Emu.... well maybe if you were dressed like that and you wore black eyeliner and a handbag (and were a dude) i probably would but I still wouldn't care if that's the way you wanna dress then it's all good once you're not hitting on me. ;)

Anyways, it also seems like some of you think that what we are doing in the video is non-progressive. I'm not claiming to be the most progressive rider in kiteboarding but I've been riding for 10 years and I've dabbled in every aspect of the sport from footstraps, to boosting, to boardoffs, to being shackled in, to wakestyle and boots, I've watched boards and kites evolve and the sport change in many ways.
I tried it all and the only style of riding that still keeps my interest as a rider is Wakestyle, I hate to call it Wakestyle because it is what I believe is progressive kiteboarding (Wakestyle: Riding powered in boots, with your kite low and making your tricks look easy with style) However the only way we can separate it from dangling and board off style riding is by naming it Wakestyle. Anyways the reason why I've gotten 'bored' with boosting and twirling around and taking my board off and putting it back on is simply because its easy. Anything progressive isn't easy. If you think what we are doing in "We Did Nothing" isn't progressive then try and go out and make a spin look as easy and good as the ones Jake are throwing or maybe grab a KGB like he did then come back here and let me know how "easy" and non progressive that was for ya.

At the end of the day I don't hate board offs and boosting, or people mowing the grass, we all kiteboard to have fun. Every now and then I will boost a big jump and look around and smile cause its fun. I give props to those who are doing something hard but at the same time making it look good like Jake Kelsick which to me is very progressive. I started kiteboarding because it is fun and I still have a lot of fun doing it 10 years later but I focus my progression in an area which is the most difficult and challenging way to progress which is Wakestyle.

In "We Did Nothing" we wanted to show people how guys like us do it down in Antigua. We hangout, ride together, give high fives, cruise around and throw carves, bust tricks, whatever's fun to us. If you liked it then check out www.Kitescoop.com in the next few months because we plan on doing a few more films like it. If you're a hater then it sucks to be you.

Well I thought the film was tops. The kiteboarding, and the production.

Congrats Dre, on the the effort on putting it together. Dont worry about the disgruntled Aussies, some of us are still hanging out for wind.
