To let go of my bar very quickly when the s hits the f thus avoiding hyperextending my leg and pulling my hamstring fully off my pelvis. Then having to endure two hours sugary eight weeks off work and still months of rehab. But Doc has given me green light for Nov

Strapless backroll! Any tips???

If you trying a back roll I assume you already master the single backside air and the grab

First go down wind a little bit to get some speed and go high so you have lots off time to complete the rotation
Open your base
Just before take off edge hard and face the bottom off your board in to the wind

Bend your knees and get really low on the board also keep your front hand down near the rail before take off that will help don't miss the grab .

Once you take off ****out your bar all the way up hard until you hit the stoper and hold until you finish the rotation
that will stop the kite to loop and will keep you going forward .
make sure you let go off the rail and grab the bar before landing
Good luck and contact me if you would like any more tips sorry about my bad spelling unfortunate English is not my first language

Can do backroll kite loops on my non preferred side off flat water but can't seem to be able to pull the trigger on a big loop while boosting off a wave. 10m+ kite loop/megaloop whatever you wanna call them that's what I wanna learn this season. And a few more handle pass tricks

To be fair to you Matt you are a long way out when going for a powered loop. it's not like you can just come to shore easily if it goes pair shaped.

Pretty much the reason I haven't committed to one eppo. I've done that swim in a few times after minor stuff ups and it's not fun. Eating it after a loop gone wrong and having to do it with sore everything doesn't appeal much.

Well you both inspired me to give it a bash today so i had a punt off a fairly vertical wave. I got the takeoff and rotation, but the board got tangled up in the lines somehow as it went over my head. Might be a one off cos i didn't try it again. Any ideas?

Push your bar all the way up until hits the stoper during the rotation that will keep your kite going foward and you wont get tangle
try again again and again until you nail it

I envy you guys that enjoy learning tricks. It must entertain you for hours. I just don't feel the love for spinning around. I want a stupid high boosted and land super smooth and I am stoked. I really enjoy flying the kite while high in the air.

What I do like is mixing boosting with waves. Can I jump off one and land on the back side of the other? can I boost of one and land on the next one and ride it back to the beach. I'm super stoked when I boost and downloop onto the next face.

If you kitesurf because you enjoy progressing at something - freestyle

If you kitesurf because you enjoy the feeling of something - wavestyle

Thats why old men wave and the young freestyle

I hope to learn how to interact with individuals with less sand in their vagina.....and maybe learn some tricks, instead of just doing loops, but loops are awesome, so maybe the tricks can get stuffed.

I need to work on staying in the pocket, going more vertical as apposed to running down the line and missing the critical sections. A nice little head dip or closeout barrel would be pretty awesome too.
