bali is a rubbish bin..
Spend your money at home. Or in support the tourism industry in NZ or Japan where they really need it.
ummm thats a strong opinion , mate vie been to nz many times, kiting all over oz + a few other places round the world, i just wanted to try somewhere i haven't been thats all, looks like i might be alone with that idea
Do they have honey moon price just for you mister in Japan???????
What about Ice cream you scream????
No, well, Bali it is then
So now that you have all stopped slating each other does anyone want to answer the question, anyone fancy a kite and a beer at the Macure or on the beach from the 10 th or should I just take it everyone hates Bali ?.
RPM hates Bali, but he has issues with a number of things.... Everyone else seems to love it. Given that he spent so much time working there, kinda makes you wonder? just got back from 3 weeks, awesome as usual, mostly 14 m, some 12, and even occasional 10... (100kg). Will be plenty of local and tourist crew there to hang with, and a number of different places to kite around Sanur. Lots of other options if you have time to adventure forth... Have fun!
Plenty of aust kiters here mate wind been good for Bali have been kiting every day since we got here waves flat water what ever you want beats cold water kiting at this time of year at home travel and you will find the spots I'm 2 hrs out of kuta and it's been so good and have been riding a 10 m bws on surfboards with 5 other people so enjoy warm weather and
Bintangs expecting 8 to 10 foot tues where we are so it should be interesting so catch up when we are back down there your buying the the bintangs
thanks guys , t one you been kiting at saner?, waves ok, glad to see im not the only guy thats over 70kg , bough a 17m griffin from chris , got a new 6 2 and 5 8 board and my 12 rally if it blows , cant wait as long as i get some messing around in the waves and few beer cold beers Ill be sorted .
will need some help on the waves and which ones to tackle but from my reading its pretty simple,
thanks for the help
Just got back from a week there. Only took a Zephyr and had a blast. Waves and wind direction are best at Sanur and Janke will help you out with whatever you need.
... just got back from a 8 days at Sanur too, and had a brilliant time, wind and waves with cold beer, what more do ya want!!!!. Thanks Tone for being our local tour guide.
cheers,
Robbie
ps who says you can't use a Dyno in the waves????
rfw, yep, was good this year, you should be having a good day today i reckon... one way or another, rip it up dude!
mc, yeah, mostly sanur, but also some other places up north. if you want some waves around sanur, try serangan, blue reef or hyatt (mid to high tide).
as mentioned jankie is the man, although the expat kiters at blue oasis (sanur beach hotel), are a good bunch of guys.
worth taking a twinnie as well, cos the flat water at low tide is awesome...
Puetz... it's only semi-local but i'm working on it .
Yes tone it's be on every day since we got here 2 kites a day the old body is sore it been breaking up to 300 m out at times and the right has been good too and only 3 out so much for no wind here ! Simon said they had to put up the 9m the other day down there
Still in Bali,
Balian was great, good swell. Put it on your must to do list.
Last 2 days in Sanur. Approx 20 kiters out today.
To onshore but had fun. A few head high near the ship wreck made the day.
I am heading to Bali next week. I have a Bandit iV 10m and was wondering if its worth the hasle of taking it if the wind isnt real strong there.
Or should I just try and hire something there.
If it does start to blow I will be gutted if I didnt take it.
