Got it from the Horses mouth, chick I work with was in the Heliwest Helo upon the sighting. White Pointer indeed. I'm more scared of Tiger's though, they chewed up my fishing lures like they were plastic!
This is interesting:
At Margaret River, there's been one shark attack in the last three years.
At Margaret River main street, 70 people have been hit by cars in the last three years. (Source: margaret river council)
Make sure you get scared about the right things.
I wonder how many of those 70 people spent as much time in the water as we do?
One can't help but wonder when you are body dragging out deep at Woodies offshore, like I did 3 times today. Because of the dredging (murky water), the fact that the bay is a seal hang out, and the only shark I have seen in my kiting days was exactly where I was dragging about...................... believe me, I was very happy to get back on my board.
I am doing everything wrong at the moment, but it will pass.
I went straight over a swarm of sharks and half eaten fish on Sunday. Just north of that rock north of hillarys west of the thin strip of reef closest to shore.
It's not like they're not out there every day but it's amazing How quickly you go from a Careless boosting maniac to a conservative terrified speedster heading for dryland with white knuckles
I dont know about you guys, but I would rather die getting chomped by a Noah (shark) than die from being hit by a some Margies local in his car.... At least if I get chomped ill end up in the news and on seabreeze
