whoaa !!!!! 3 questions.... what kite, what speed, and did you come down with a slam or just glide on?

I am on a 11m 2013 Ozone Edge running 25m lines + 5m extensions. was blowing close to 22kts. I managed to sorta glide this one down but there was alot of moving the kite to keep me from dropping like a rock.
That's a bloody good effort off flat water without kickers. Gotta love those edges for jumping. Awesome man.
Lift ya knees Austin makes it look like you have gone higher...lol
Lifting the knees also makes it easier to remain in control I feel when you get them times you get flung around. lol
Sik pics.
Bring back the big air.
I'll be having a go tomorrow on the new edge.
Love how they boost and the control.
Will try to get some pics. Will only post them if they are worthy. Lol
Should be fun trying tho.
Hey krickitt
Your photoshop effort was pretty good
but I have fixed the editing for you.. ohhh...and added a few more feet
The best days for boosting (like this week!) are too cold for the missus to stand on the beach filming and everyone else is riding :-/ selfies from the GoPro don't look that impressive, either...
This, sadly, is the best shot I have... Psycho 19m and Flydoor XL - that should tell you what wind there was... or wasn't :(
I might be doing things wrong, but I only move the kite if I've screwed up... send it back and leave it there, then a single redirect at the last minute. Butter soft landings, no matter the height
classic ^
bit of mako love in the sunset ^^, nice.
Shes a beaut, the more I use it the more I appreciate it.

your riding big kites bro. They tend to float you. Little kites need abit of zinging around to keep the float going from time to time.

pss. Surely you use a different technique on your flysurfers? What works best for me on my 15 is bar half out and a start a lazy slow redirect as soon as I boost. Timed to perfection to be cranking down in front of me when i'm landing followed by a bar all the way in for touch down is the best flysurfer method I've found.

I do the same on my 10 and 7 - are they not small? :D but I'm going for as big as I can... and a soft landing. Moving the kite around just dumps me...

Been so long since I've flown my FSers I can't remember
The 2 big ones have a tendency to offer a second pendulum as you redirect, giving a little pop or hover just before touchdown.
I think I agree, with the foils a gentler or slower or less aggressive redirect is the most effective - if you have the kite diving down, it often does unpleasant things. The S3 12 is most prone to it...
But with the LEI, just park it then dive it redirect hard and loop if I've done it too soon.
