*************************NEWS FLASH***************************

Ozone kites unofficial press release....For the month of January we give all Ozone kite flyers, especially the family living out a camper van holidaying in Safety Bay for the last month permission to make a menace of yourselves.
We ask that you don't follow any local rules what so ever, ensure you only do half runs and all transitions need to be completed with kiteloop dangle thingy and most importantly local kiters downwind of you during this process.
Ozone would also like to warn it's flyers that if and when approached by locals do not ,we repeat do not show any respect. They are a friendly bunch, but we need to remain resilient and maintian our arrogant reputation. We advise the best response to the locals are the words "not speak English" and just ride off and continue as you where.
[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]

Edit: Nearly forgot, do not at any cost leave any space on the beach for other kiters. It is essential you pump up every kite you own and leave it on the beach till sunset. We understand this practice is not good for the kite, but the piss off factor for other kiters is worth it.

Ooh can i come too, what time shall we meet Sam?!

If i am not mistaken you are of European descent? hahahaha

Just loosen up, us masters of the water (Windsurfers) have had to put up and get along with you lot coming along of late.

I'll give you a wave next time i zip by you, just like the old days when i taught you to windsurf.

Hehehehehe.

I am the smart one amongst you lot and use all of the ocean.
It's plenty big enough for everyone.

Surely you remember people starting out sailing?
We'd give them a wide berth or a spray off the tail of our boards ! ;o)

Here's my track for yesterday -
i've also been sailing from home, get the ocean all to myself.

Anyway, your surname sounds rather Swedish to me...

Don't go to penguin island point unless your looking for the local Rockingham kite school (Westoz Kiteboarding) for lessons............

Why is that mate, serious question here, not trying to be smart, I have kited over near the cafe for years (I was overseas for 2 1/2 years though). Nobody has said anything to me about not kiting there.

Hi mate, if you read the whole sentence as below, I'm actually refering to learners only. It's only my opinion, but here's my reasons. The Mersey point area has a jetty structure and moored ferry up wind of the school already operating there. I suggest McLarty Rd because that gives the school enough room to conduct buisness, They shouldn't have to worry about a self learning out of control newby endangering their students

I agree that the area up wind and around the sand bar are excellent spots for kiters that have enough ability to control their equipment. I cruise over regular for a blast in the prestine waters, such a great spot.

Hope that sort of makes sense.

If your a beginner, go to Mclarty Rd in Shoalwater for farks sake. You have no buisness to go to flatwater in the pond at Safety Bay. Don't go to penguin island point unless your looking for the local Rockingham kite school (Westoz Kiteboarding) for lessons.

There are not that many “dangerous” people in the water at once so spot him or them and then stay clear of him or them….. Problem solved!

As for the beach being crowded with unused, pumped up kites, seriously, how much time do you actually need? 10 minutes to set up and even less to pack up. A quick word with whoever is on the beach, if they’re not about to launch, lay your lines on top of theirs and off you go….. Problem solved … again!

If it’s that bad that you feel you have to “talk” to someone about their behaviour, start with a smile, it’s always worked for me! If talking doesn’t work: refer to first paragraph

Easy and stress free! That’s the way I like it

Yeah no worries Sammy, was just making sure that I hadn't missed being told some rule by the crew down there or something. Thanks for clarifying mate.

Thought this was as good a place as any to apologize to the guy I dumped my kite on while taking lessons @ SB on Sunday. Maybe he should't have been passing 10m downwind of a clear noob (instructor, orange rashie, helmet) doing his first water starts but it still didn't look like fun.

He rode off without complaint but it still had to smart, sorry mate.

I don't see many euro kiters in the pond in may-june when it's 40 knots from the west. Kite it then. prob solved.
