Lol fair enough. Either way what we have saw so far looks like it will be worth the wait. I can understand if its taken longer for a better quality product .. well thats all the better. Good to see they wont put something out there unless its of the highest quality.

Have just been told via ozone facebook that the new safety system does indeed swivel within the red release. This bar has been in the making for well over 2 years! About time ozone caught up to the competition, luckily their quality is second to none.

Anyone some news about the 2014 C4 ??

2013 improved so much on hangtime and more power for its size i love it !
Hope it is more aggressive (C-ish) as in kiteloops

I hope not that would be downgrading then...yes the catalyst is the freerider and it seems logic to me that the C4 should be/stay a hybrid C-kite.

They need to dump the bridles and move to full C!

^Is it the same kite as the 2013 model?

No. The design has been tweaked a lot, the larger sizes are more lively, but still stable when unhooked and the smaller sizes tweaked the other way, but all this is really a bit hypothetical, and based on a conversation I had with the designer in Mauritius several weeks ago. Our demo's are in production, and I'd be waiting till they get some real world testing before making any conclusions. Internet whispers, opinions based on the subjective shape of a kite, previous kites owned or ridden, are all just worthless hot keystrokes....

So the same but better-of course ;-) No mention of bar pressure change, pretty well the only thing I'd change, have to wait till they arrive.... Still my favourite kite to ride but that bar pressure does sting a little at the end of a looong session.

Well I should have read the website-vid is usually exact same words from flyozone page so didn't bother but there is some extra info

"New this season is a modified planform and arc to help reduce the heavy tow feeling than can occur on C-kites when over-powered."

I don't know what heavy tow feeling is...and I love to ride powered. Are they talking about being dragged down wind or bar pressure I wonder. I like my kites to tow me and "heavily" if it pushing 30 on my 9m

Who knows, I'll shut up and let the kite speak for itself

Anyone spent decent hours on 2014 yet?? Haven't had opportunity to try yet personally. Still find my C4 to be funnest kite in collection but bar pressure makes marathon sessions uncomfortable.

spent quite a bit of time on the 10m
flies more off the black lines, Very similar to the 2013.
maybe slacks a bit more, the only time bar pressure worries me is flying at the bottom of the wind range when working the kite.
IF your happy with the 2013 you will like the 2014

Steve ill eat my words not much like the 2012

Think pedleym is right. My elbows are ****ed and the only time i really feel discomfort is when underpowered although you're always going to be yanking on the bar when passing.

I don't think there is any C kite on the market that doesn't heavyish bar pressure

So no significant reduction in bar pressure then...You get used to anything but when I've got off the C4 and onto a cat it's like getting out of a car with no power steering and into one that does. However the C4 is much more fun to flick around and get the timing right and the boosting is in a different league. Oh well stick with what I've got I reckon

Been flying the 9 and 12m for a couple of weeks and can confirm the bar pressure is not reduced at all, it might even feel a bit more because it is more constant throughout the length of the depower rope (unlike the 2013 which was more progressive). I guess that's because of the more C-ish shape, it did worry me on the first session back to back with the 2013 but I don't feel it anymore now, having tons of fun with them!
More detailed review and impression coming soon :-)
