Two layers was not strong enough, I think I used too fine a cloth. We have a fiberglass factory that makes waterslides, car bodies and all sorts of cool stuff. They sold me a heavy woven cloth and recommended I use a layer of it and a layer of mat. I made a frame so I can turn the pod as I layer the glass. Hope to have the glass on by Friday.

More time in the shop. I finished the body fiberglass and took the foam out. I put a strip of foam weather strip around the opening and used some resin with glass beads to fill in the spaces and round out the inside junction between the floor and the fiberglass. Once it has set up I will sand it and lay a strip of cloth and resin over it. I think it is going to work really well.

Pod is being clear coated. The guys at FirstChoice Collision in Red Deer felt sorry for me when I was in getting some paint. They kindly offered to paint the pod and clear coat it. They then returned it to me to do some minor airbrush work, and are now putting on the final two coats of clear coat. Great guys, they would not take payment, they just want to go for a sail!

Should have some photos in the next few days.

Hi Brian, It all sounds too good to be true?? It seems that there are still a few generous people on this rock. Hey! I hope you are going to get them to put a label or Logo on it.
I reckon you may be encouraging some new builders.

Pod is back from the paint shop today. I am very pleased. Unfortunately, work is getting in the way as I just completed a major office renovation. 9 days..on time on budget. Gotta love good general contractors. Now I have to spend the day putting all my crap back in the office. This really affects my shop time.

AHhh! Stop Bitchin'! A[}:)].
You have to admit,Brian, that while you're working you're earning.. While you're Playing you're spending[}:)]. So, with that understanding you'll be able to spend a bit more . No?
Get some pic's up.
I went back up to Anthony Beach today. Winds Gusting to a tad above 50kph and averaging 33Kph. The direction wasn't optimal but none the less I had a bunch of fun chasing down a 4x4 and dog running after Seagulls. Oh Yeah! I did a bit of Showing Off with broadsides.
I didn't get any footage and found my Data Logger about 40meters from the Ute.

Just finished assembling the new mini. Looks pretty good. I spent a little more time on the finish than I expected, but it turned out the way I envisioned.

Didn't get done until it was dark so photos tomorrow.

I wanted to get one of Landyacht's stickers but did not qualify. I guess this would be the next best thing.

ARE YOU FKN KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?! It's brilliant!!!

Make sure You don't EVER get it near a puddle of mud or poo; You'll never get it out.... If the ear holes go through, you have A/C for your feet on hot days too.

Seriously, that is one great finish job on an LLM. Register it on the LLM register when You can. Do tell, are the facial features done with bondo?

Love it......

Paul is going to fall off his chair when he sees this beauty!

I can see the headline on your local newspaper:

"PROOF THAT PIGS CAN FLY"

There is a pretty good chance that your new mates at the panel shop will soon be cobbling up LCM's (Lefroy-Canuck Minis) after they have a sail on yours- and after
its in the newspapers you might just have a telephone meltdown!

It needs a curly tail.....and a little "pucker" beneath it!

So...., Which little piggy is this one:-
1. This little piggy went to market?
2. This little piggy stayed home?
3. This little piggy had roast beef?
4. This little piggy stayed home? or
5. This little piggy went wee wee all the way home?
OR
THIS LITTLE PIGGY KICKS A...E!

For the ears and snout I carved them out of styrofoam. I then made a polyvinylsiloxane impression. (had some expired dental impression material around). I then poured acetone in the impression to disolve the foam. Next I poured casting fiberglass in the mould. The cheeks and eyes were formed with bondo-hair, bondo-glass and bondo. The snout and ears were screwed in place in a bed of bondo-hair. Everything was then formed, shaped, sanded, sanded, sanded...a final bit of glazing compound...more sanding and then paint.

Ain't knockin' yu Bud. I just wish I had the Gear and skill to Fulfill some of the quality you Northerners do. "Miss Piggy" should have a Wig and Springy Tail.

Yup! I am aware that you are emulating Paul's Sticker but in having succeeding to such a standard you have eliminated the need for the real thing?????Wouldn't you say?.
