HEY , I spent 15 years windsurfing Rio Vista...had a trailer at the local marina and a trailer full of sails and boards,, HOWEVER the non windy days were boring so finally broke down and bought a water ski boat.... problem solved... maybe you could put a 5 hp lawn mower motor as a pusher... what do u think

Brian, Get into Radio Control aircraft. We used to bring all the toys to the lake bed so we never got skunked. It will always be windy when you bring a new plane out for it's maiden flight.

I take all the blame for the lack of wind. This has been an ongoing problem since I started windsurfing, now land sailing. I have been skunked at the following world class windy spots: Hawaii, theGorge, Lake Arenos costa rica, Dominican Republic, Bonair, Aruba, and Rio Vista California. I think what I should do is hire myself out when a hurricane is forecast I could just pack up my sailing gear and prevent a disaster. I could have probably saved new Orleans with a board and a 5.0

That's the problem with having a job and a life. You often cannot play with your toys when you want to.

I have a couple of weeks off the first two weeks of Aug. The wind and venues here suck. Where do you sail? Is there a place to rent land yachts? I might have to load up the truck and make the 24 hour drive.

The wind has been a little light up this way. Are you going to sail her at the sod farm or at misfits?

Glad to hear your mini works well. I had the chance to sail "windburner" last week. 25 km wind. I got it up to 52.5 kpm. I could have gone faster but I kept running out of parking lot. My friend took photos which I will post once he gets over a case of severe procrastination and sends them to me. So far I have only had two opportunities to get out.

I am going to lake ivanpath near Vegas Oct. 13, 14, & 15. I will be renting a Bokart. Is this near you? Would like to see Holey Moley sail.

Ivanpah is a bit of a drive....saby....
oh land yact, i like pussy so it was fun ridding the twin with my wife...
holey moley does quite well... Leornard is donating a better sail..jst need to do a few mods to moley .. ie need a better head rest, cant see over my pot belly... new bearings, and need to try a lower airpressure next time... other wise it rocks

Just remember lower air pressure means greater rolling resistance and that means more power to push it. Wether it is stronger wind or bigger sail.
