Missus jode is home from hospital. All went well, but we will still have to see how things go for next weekend as she has been told see is to take thing easy for the next 2 weeks. They said see can not drive but did not mention sailing.

Missus Jode, will be fine, kicking back relaxing with john doing all the work for her
Thanks for the advice seabird about getting into the anchorage I'll be leaving friday. the Tangalooma wrecks have been pulled down, they look horrible now, rusted junk just out of the water, lot of unhappy tour operators

Sad to hear Missus Jode is unwell but very glad to hear Missus Jode is recovering
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the Weekend. The mast only went up last Wednesday and still have lots of things to do. Hope everyone has a great time.
HI All,
I don't suppose anyone knows if you can hire a tender in the greater Brisbane area? My two girls aged 9 and 12 want to come, so I thought it might be nice to take a tender, and I am holding off buying one till the new boat comes. I have oars and can use the outboard, just no tender!
Thanks in advance!
SB
Hi Shaggy,
happy to ferry you and crew ashore, so don't sweat too much if you can't arrange anything in time.
Inspected my deflateable yesterday as it hasn't been used for at least 12 months and found that the floor was coming unstuck from the tubes at the leading edge. Took it in for a quick repair and hoping to get it back on thursday. (Fingers crossed)

I left Hervey Bay today try Wide Bay Bar on Thursday wish me luck. I got latest way-points from Tin Can Bay coast Guard so I think I'l be OK.
I am really sorry but I will not able to come down - work has got in the way. Hope you have a great time and this becomes the start for something regular.

you can use my tender but you might want to bring the outboard as I only have the electric motor which obviously has limited duration, probably only get to and from shore once or twice. but it wont take anything more than a 4hp. basically I can pull up along side your and then if you can ferry me to the shore you can do your thing and give the tender back the next day.
Looks like I wont be making it this weekend
really if your heart was in it you would hang off the back of the transom and kick your legs. . having the top end of your engine removed is a poor excuse!
Have a great time everyone. I am currently staying in Newcastle and have met one seabreezer today who recognised me.
There would be enough people around to give you a tow if you need one Andy
That's an easy Bukh to work on Andy

Good sailing Colombo I guess Captain Mindy will be on the tiller
Hi Shaggy
You can borrow mine if you want to drive down to the Gold Coast.
Hi Andy,
Thank you very much for the offer, I am in Sydney till the weekend or I would take you up on it. I appreciate the offer mate.

HI Libran,
If I can't find an alternative, I may bother you for the assist if that's ok? Good luck on getting your patch done!
Cheers!

HI Bubble!
You guys are all too good to be true, I'm chuffed with all the assist! I understand re: electric motor, a friend has a little 4HP I am trying to get a hold of. Will keep you posted!

Great effort Colombo if you make it down there's a Seabreeze tee shirt waiting for you.
The weather forecast for the weekend could be better with 15-20 northerly winds on Saturday and a light southerly change coming through overnight and into Sunday.
If the winds go around to the west during the night it might be an uncomfortable night on anchor.
I don't believe the forecast is bad enough to postpone.
So my plan is to be anchored at the northern end of the Lucinda anchorage by 1.00pm and hoist the Aussie flag as a marker for other boats.
Given it will be a hot day I don't think we should to go ashore too early, so I was thinking meeting at 4.30pm on the beach.
It might be nice to go around Saturday afternoon and check out each others boats.
Just bring your drinks & snacks for sundowners and RID as there might be bugs around at dusk.
Given it may be a bit rough on anchor I was going to have dinner on the beach.
I'll be taking a firebox /wood and use the fire to cook hamburgers for dinner. I'll bring a frying pan/tongs and a small table/cutting board/knife for preparation.
If others want to do something similar just bring your food & plates & headlight and we can take turns using the pan.
I'll bring a Bluetooth speaker which has a battery life of 10hrs to play some music from my phone, if others want to bring there music collection please do so. The speaker also has a cord connection (pin) if you want to bring your cord.
Communication will be via channel 71. If anyone has a handheld VHF unit it maybe useful to bring it ashore.
Any other suggestions???

the winds are planned for a shift to the west. it will be an average night on anchor but so be it.
my only issue is that my wife has a bad flu and I'm hoping I don't catch it. fingers crossed.
That sounds great Seabird, I cant wait
for those that dont have a tender, I can help out aswell, my son will be more then happy to play water taxi
The likelihood of wind turning westerly on Saturday night has reduced as the SE change is predicted to arrive about 9.00pm. The map below is the forecast for 10.00pm (local time) and shows the change north of Moreton Is.
That should make for a better night's sleep and cool things down.
Should be enough wind for people to get home on Sunday with SE-NE around 10kts
Hi All,
looks like we are going to made it. Deb is still very sore and will need to be carefull getting in and out of the dingy . The run from Redcliffe is pretty easy and quick so that should not be a problem. See you all on Saturday. Feel free to come over and have a beer.
John
were leaving at 7am from Caboolture river.
did anyone post the coordinates of the bay? I'm not sure of the exact location.
Have fun guys. Stay safe and take plenty of photos.
I'm in 1770/Agnes Water at the moment but when I get home, I'll take a look at organizing that WA bash.
It sure would be Shaggy, but unfortunately not. My parents live in Agnes Water and I've come over to help out as dad has really stuffed his back and is waiting for an operation.
Had dinner last night at The Trees in 1770. Looking over the water at the few anchored yachts the conversation turned to (as it always does) moving to here. It's a beautiful spot.

Bubble if you set course for beacons E5- E4 and then turn NE at S 27.14.225 / E 153.21.397 and run up into Lucina Bay.
Waypoint 1 on the map below is the above coordinates. The blue marker is S27.12.679 / E 153.22.036 In Lucinda Bay.
You should have a good sail in the northerly winds. I'll have it on the nose coming from Cleveland
