I have been speaking to Laurie (site owner) in regards to having some Burgees made up with the Seabreeze logo on it. I thought with the Seabreeze catch ups that have been happening (with hopefully more in the future) and the many members out there cruising, that it would be a great way to to recognise other Seabreeze members.

They will be sold on a pre-ordered basis (if we can get the minimum numbers) and will be the standard size of 600 x 300. They will be at cost price plus shipping and handling. Nobody will be making a profit from this except the flag company

I am hesitant to say a price at this stage as it will vary with quantity but I would think $45 - $50 would more then cover (and less if quantity is higher then that based price).

So if you would like one or would like more information please let me know here or drop me a PM. I am hoping this is well received

Yeah I'm sure it will. Lets go with that.

The uptake has been a little lower then I had expected unfortunately. I will give it another week then get another quote based on the smaller numbers.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.. Although depending on what the price is with the current numbers, we could well be under the initial $50 I stated in the original post (I intensionally over inflated the price so I didn't have to come back here and say it was going to cost more). But as you say aus005, the more the merrier (cheaper)

Hi Toph,
below are a couple of flags , SIYC (Shaggers) and Women who sail Australia. They are sitting on a 300x300 tile. The SIYC flag is a good size. Both of these flags are made by Fox flags and are of good quality. It may be worth getting a price off them as well.

Toph. Will the Burgees have eyelets so they can be clipped on to the backstay or shroud ??.

Sam, the ones based on the current quote have rope loops like the ones Jody5 posted pictures of above.

Currently they will be the triangular shape pennants with the Seabreeze logo printed on them.

Guys, I am getting to the pointy end of this arrangement and still have relatively small numbers. Thanks to Jode5's recommendation I have managed to keep the cost as stated with the smaller quantity. As said previously the more we get the cheaper it will still become. I nor Laurie are getting anything out of this so I am not applying pressure. But at this point and time its a one shot deal and I wouldn't want you to miss out.

So

Imagine for a moment..... You are new to sailing, or a ol' salt from way back, you've spent the day (or maybe a week) with a long slog up the coast and you pull into an unfamiliar anchorage. Tired, beaten and in need of a hand. Or maybe you're just ready for a beverage. You look around the anchorage and there are a few yachts anchored close by. You know that any one of them is likely to give you a hand or have a sundowner. But then you spot it.... There over on the other side, flying off the stay a familiar logo. You may never had met the person before, but you know they are family. You are at home......... (ok.. had a few scotch's )

So if you would like one please let me know.

Lastly, I am trying to get some graphic work or a mock up done as a display to put up in the seabreeze 'shop'. once this is done we will be asking for you all to pre-order you burgee (I know this may be a pain but I can't be left holding the baby so to speak). Once we have the min numbers I will make the order. Turn around time is expected to be 10 days.

Sam, once I have all the info Laurie needs he will place it in the online shop here on the Seabreeze website. Payment method would be a credit card. I don't know if other payment methods are available.
