Oh yes its going Cisco. I'm thinking white cabin side with a wooden roof top. Just not sure what to use on the Cabin sides. Any suggestions ?

The stove didn't add much the counter weight in the original was reasonably heavy . Ive removes a lot of stuff that had been collected over the years off the boat add three pumps and a bilge pump. Other than navigation updates later on a 12 PC system Ill build and a water tank its more elbow grease from here on in inside the boat. Still thinking about opening port lights > should I just add two more one each side for ventilation or replace the existing non opening port lights as there in need of replacement as there crazed
I have considered painting the cabin interior sides . Ill see how the forward cabin comes up after I refresh it in the coming weeks Ill do that and think about the main cabin for a while I think as I can seal this off if I do any more sanding or modifying .
The electrical panel I'm still researching as when I made an enquirery about the labeled acrylic panel so far my response is a thin acrylic sheets that would need some sort of backing I still have to research that a bit more but whats there will do for wiring every thing up for now Cisco
I have made an extra battery box and will wiring into the system for later but at this stage I only need my engine and one house battery
I do like the way South Ace did his old boats interior have been temped to ask him for a few ideas

Spent the last few days making a dash for my Adams 45 so I can fire the motor & get her into the water & bring her home to Lake Mac.
I don't think the extra weight of the timber & paint will make much difference to the 20 tonne.
I have to save up for the other instruments now to fill in the bare spots.

Big Vacuum and clean tomorrow as my two boys want to inspect what Ive done so far next weekend.

Well you should hear what some of the Farrier Trimaran owners do. They look for things they can chop out so they can go faster, as if they don't go fast enough already. Speed sailing is apparently addictive. 
There is some weight going to be removed from Second Wind I can tell you. I have taken both of the bladder water tanks out. The Plastimo one from under the fwd bunk was leaking and I have found that it will fit under the aft end of the port settee. Much better place for the weight.
Also I think that foam backed head lining Wolf put in the fwd area has to go too.
The fridge and stove are brilliant and I am going to leave them where they are. I am looking at installing a fridge dedicated battery with a solar panel to service it on the hatch garage with that circuit isolated from the rest of the yacht's electrical system altogether.
What think ye on that??

Opening port lights can make life sooo much better down below in the Queensland climate, at anchor and especially when in a marina where you do not swing to the breeze. Thing is with opening ports you can guarantee they will leak at some point so you need to be careful about what will be below them. Galleys and heads are OK. Essential electrics, nav gear and bunks are not OK. I have fixed ports port and starboard that are leaking onto my bunks. 
If you are considering opening ports, it just so happens that I have 8 (eight) Lewmar opening ports in two different sizes. Six are good to use and two are good for parts. See the pic. They can be converted to fixed.
These to buy new will cost around $300 a piece. If you want them, send me a private message and I will do you a good deal.

Joe Walsh took the mast down last week. Seems like a great bloke and seems perfect for what I need; I'm sanding and repainting the mast in his yard with his tools while giving me good advice - perfect!
Yesterday I unbolted the deck plate. I had discovered a crack in one of the corners. When I released the bolt the corner of the plate fell apart!
Was going to get that welded but I reckon the whole plate is f*&ked - seems to have become brittle through electrolysis. Joe used to work for the spar company that made the mast (now gone) - perhaps he can help me find a replacement. Might be tricky.
While the mast is down I'm taking the opportunity to rip out the compression post, grind it back, and repaint it. Found what looks like a crack in the post - not sure if this is worth worrying about or not. Will consult with the rigger.
At least the spar itself is good!

I was just thinking a mate of mine uses a sand molding and a small furnace to make plaques mostly for cemeteries .but also cast other stuff , Maybe some where near by can make a simple sand mold from what you have there and either cast another or melt down what you have its not a long process
Not a bad idea. Actually, I do know a place that makes Victorian era ballustrades and stuff that does sand molding. Would need new material. I think the problem will be, if I can't find an exact replacement, that I'd have to match the dimensions on deck as this matches the plate at the top of the compression post and the two bolt together.

worked my little bod off today vacuuming and scrubbing from the stern to the main bulk head every storage area and any where I could . I can now take the cushion down to the boat next time
Removed the bulk head door/ forward cabin door sand the paint at home .
Tomorrow Ill crimp and solder the battery cables ready for fitting and sand back the dunny door and organizes a Bosch alternator
Today I rebedded the remaining 6 of 8 chain plates. Bugger of a job really; with the mast down she was rolling around a lot and it rained on and off all arvo. Had a feeble attempt at kedging out an anchor off the stern to face the public holiday waves coming off the harbour but the Danforth I had handy didn't like the mud and I couldn't be arsed changing it. I had no idea not having a mast would make the rocking so bad.
Bit of a thankless job - visually, what you end up with is what you started with. But I'll be thanking myself every time it rains and I won't have what look like sanitary pads stuck up under the chain plates to soak up the weep.
No pic but it did happen - I can feel it in every muscle in my body.

I received a email back from Iverson Design this morning. They are happy enough to make the frame , the only catch is finding your own transport
In this link you can see what you can build and they make your requirements as far as the dodger frame goes . You measure what you need and they will make the frame and add a few inches so you can cut off to make it fit your boat

I had it in my plan next year to remove both masts to re rigging and paint. Thought that would be a great idea also though she would not roll around much with the mast removed looks like I thought wrong DR
Replaced my pedastal steering which broke a few months ago with a tiller . A few hours in the workshop with some left overs and a few pulling things apart and it's all done . Now to go sailing to see what mods need to be done so I can make the permanent one

Ive seen those old wheels on E bay seem to sell around the $200 mark . So it could pay for the change old boy racer . I wont say upgrade some wheel steerer's might not like that

Found out why as I sanded the top layer of veneer has been diminished 
. After much thought, I think Ill fit a push panel on the door out of brass and I think I can insert a shutter panel in the center, similar to Donk's Bulk head door, which will just about remove all the problem so the door should I hope look more appealing eventually . I hope
Made my battery cables cut ,crimped,spray with protecterant and double shrink wrapped , first layer adhesive shrink wrap
There is room for growth in that lot
Also my kero(pariffin) tank brackets for the stove tank and Gimbel mounts

On the door subject i think it would be better off swinging outwards instead of inwards because it makes it hard to access stuff on the starboard side storage bin when opened and if you need to use the head it is a bit cramped with the door open and a bit of a squeeze shutting the door when you are in there
