Just back from the AWSI at Hood River both units were there . Saw a few people demo but not actually up
and riding . The boards were pretty big and far from ideal . Everything looked well put together but still very bulky and close to double the weight of the FD , really shocked when I picked it up , it's advertised weight with a motor is way off . I snapped these pics of the units .I added a couple of shots of the FD travel batteries just released for size comparison.

Manta are predominantly an Efoil company so battery size and endurance is important, where as Foildrive is designed for and by surfers so weight was paramount. Even Manta's promotion states biggest battery in class, but should probably say, heaviest in class.
