Thanks Scott nice to know that the set up has been tested without me having to play around with a bigger centre.
Makes sense to as I did notice I was moving up and down the board a bit and also noticed the board didn,t come fully to life until a bit if speed built up but felt great after that.
Are these the 5'79s you guys are talking about? The new design maybe?
Lovely.
Not the biggest fan of pastel. Reminds me too much of the 80's.
We liked the outside of these, but the big yellow insides were begging to be a canvas.
My girl is back home for a bit, no surf, so I asked her to put a bit of soul on the side fins for me.
Love it.

CHOICE art.
I agree, couldn't go there with 5.79 gray pastels and the 5.49 red's would clash with board's red . Hopefully have sourced Cork's like Bigcsup.

Awesome artwork! Being a complete finaholic I ordered a set cuz they are way stiffer than the cork. Per Scotty's advice am using the small stock trailer!
Brenno
which fins are using, 5.57 or 5.79
as been offered some 5.57 at reasonable price
cheers
5.79
Really enjoying time on the nose, so bigger is better for me.
Been had , clicked on Cork pattern, got sent poxy grey n yellow .
One good thing, didn't realize how much shearing shed Occa french the Mrs had picked up from me. It's a RTS from her.
I'm trusting you guys enthusiasm for these fins n sneakn them over, will do Bali make over on them
So it's been 4 months, and it's normally at this stage that I'm getting restless and looking at my next board, so thought I'd give a bit of feedback.
Construction wise this smik stik is still as new, apart from slight discoloration of the deck pad in the shape of my feet in the standing area. No deck compressions, no nicks, scratches or marks. Pretty bloody good seeing i have been surfing this board exclusively, often, and have been very unkind to it.
The thing I love most about this board is it's versatility. This morning in long 2 foot rollers at the point, to fat beachies as the tide came in. It does it all.
I can comfortably use the entire board from tip to tail, and it has improved my wave count and surfing so much, i love it.
I'll be back on it again later on. If i do ever end up breaking it, I'd get the exact same again. Maybe shave 1/2" off?
Maybe
And nope, I have no bloody idea why my photos rotate when I upload them
usually phone photos get messed up brenno
good your getting some yardage out of this one ...I feel the same about my 9,1 acid
little bit shorter would be cool ,but .. i have my 8'7 flow which is still challenging for a big lump
like me ,so I'm content ....but always lOOking ...
i reckon you should keep this one .its a custom one of a kind
i like the art work on the fins ...

Hey Brenno
I'm currently up on the Sunny Coast and might need another one of your old boards if you want to off load the Smik 9' just saying - clearly you now NEED the 9x27

Tell you what, you buy me a 9 x 27 and the 9' is all yours
Been loving my 9 x 28 as well. Crazy how different it is to the 10 footer.
I couldn't slide the 10 footer at all yet the 9 footer I can get it to slide so much easier. I need some decent surf to give it a real test but been loving it so far.

Haha Touche - i'm trying not to buy anymore boards for at least a year and use the ones i've got, but tend to take out my favourite and the rest sit in the garage
