Colas, you may not have purchased any more C Drives BUT you have shared the passion n tech knowledge so openly that others bought new or sourced 2nd hand fins keeping the interest in C Drives alive.

Troy making Futures and FCSII version will help. But it cost money.
I guess talking more shapers/brands trying them so that they could propose them with new boards could help. I praised them with the Gong shaper, but he didn't like the way they behaved in turns, less smooth than the fins he is used to.
The issue is with fins with a high quality construction such as these is that once you have a quiver of them, you do not need to buy any more of them, making it hard to sustain a business unless you resort to marketing tricks: "new line for 2019! new signature fins! new colors! new shape for 2019 (with only a mm change)"...
Also not having any stock doesn't help people discovering them, and the huge marketing might of FCS do not help.
Troy told me I was the one who bought him the more fins in 2010+2011... but I haven't bought a C-Drive fin him ever since, I have a sufficient C-Drive quiver to cover all needs. I guess I will only buy C-Drives again if he make a FCS II line, or if he finds a way to make them faster (I dream of a C-Drive outline with a Quobba foil and material, in FCSII of course), and perhaps have more flex.

I am a total non-tech guy but.....if Troy sold the digital 3D image of the fin could we print them? Would the plastic for a printer be high enough quality?

there's only about 4 years left for US and Aus for his patents from what I can see. He'd want to be quick about it.
I have just dealt with Troy to get some futures C-drives for my SUPs. I'd looked at it awhile ago but this thread motivated me to get back onto it. I have some on the way from Troy that he has pieced together for me and I can't wait to try them when they arrive. What a legend to deal with too! His service is amazing. Hopefully we can generate enough interest here to keep them rolling out in future. It's great to support local innovation. 
Ive just lost another side c drive now thats 2 incomplete sets.so i will be restocking as soon as available.These fins in the 8.8 and 8.10 speeds are superb.

+1 on looking at a set for a 9'1 Creek.... does the general rule of big surfer-big fins still hold true? I am finding the stock fins on the creek a bit stiff...
Over the last week have been riding a 10'1 x 32 surf shape in smaller reef breaks,Cd large thruster set for quick sets , Cd large sides with Cd grom trailer in slower fatter sets to put go n fun . C-drives have made basic small waves fun. I'm a 6'2 over 100kg grom
Bighugg, made a big difference. Was running FCS 7's in side and 5 in rear, tried the Quobba fins but felt they were too small and didnt really like them. The C drives gave much better drive and speed. Felt i could turn the board really easily from the middle..basically loved them!!!! Want to try a little nubster in the rear to really loosen it up. Personally I would recommend them for the creek. Keen to try them on the 8'5 degenerate and see if I get similar result.
Bomberdave, BigHugg - I've picked up a 9'2 Flow - keen to give the C Drives a run on it.
Bomberdave - What size did you end up with on your Creek and where do you order from?

Mango..will PM you details....lesson learnt today...it was small and gutless surf and board felt stiff. CDrives need a bit of juice for the magic to work. Think the quobba fins may be a better choice in the small stuff.

Had the Flow out this morning in super-glassy, waist high rights and I'm completely frothing. Keen to get as much drive out of it as possible - while staying loose.

In my experience the C-Drive provides ton of grip, even at very low speed, but they still manage to be easy to handle in the juice and at high speed. For instance I had keels in a mini-Simmons 6'10" SUP, and they were great in small waves, but as soon as the wave hollowed, I didn't have enough strength to control the board. By switching to C-Drive twins, I had nearly as hold as keels on small waves, but the board was much more nimble in hollow waves.
C-Drive are especially great for people going down in SUP board sizes, as their extra grip at low speed will help mastering the row, especially on takeoff.
Quobba are different, for them to shine you need to go fast. They can work in small or big waves, as long as you go fast. Otherwise they are not very different from standard fins. So unlike C-Drive, you may have to change your surfing style to benefit from them.
Awesome Colas - cheers. That's a whole lotta good advice - I've picked up the 9'2 Flow - I love to go fast and get turns in.
Ive read so much good stuff about the C-drives and pretty much everyone is saying the same thing - that is, they work best in juice, otherwise can be a bit 'stiff'.
Where I am, we don't get much in the way of power (which is why I had a 10' Style to start with) but every now and then we do get some swell pushing through with monsoonal low pressure systems and I wanna be able to get amongst it when the time comes.

To support what has been said, I found that the c-drives made it very hard to turn when going above approx 25 km/hr (according to my Rip Curl GPS watch) - maybe above 23 k/hr. On the bigger waves I would struggle to execute bottom turns. Now I use smaller fins and it is much easier to turn. But you sure notice the extra drive (with the c-drives) on the mid-size waves, and when you want to just go fast down the line.
I need to try some quobba fins...
CSE I have a set if you are down inverloch way..interesting comment about the speed. I sort of agree anyway PM me if you want to try some. Might take them to sandy point in the morning as we had an epic session there today

I may be down in Yanakie tomorrow but I am not sure what time. I'll be staying there a while. You had a great session at Sandy Point? I have never surfed there. From Yanakie I tend to head into the prom.
