Are these available in Southern California?
I'm 5'10", 82 kgs, mediocre who usually surfs 1 to 6' beachies.
Am currently surfing a 8'8" Naish Hokua x32 LE
Hi Tim
How about an extra small size evoke (that is under 90 Litres etc..?:-) just make the 7'11" thinner & also maybe a 7'5" - I am sure you would sell quite a few ?:-)
thanks regards John :-)
Yes, a thinner 7'11 maybe around the 115 litre mark would be a great size!
Yes a thinner, narrower & shorter version with a lot less volume (or the option too choose would be nice :-)
The venom looks like a good option for small waves, shame I have my 10'6" which goe's ok in small waves.
I ordered a new 10' carbon Evoke last night for my first SUP. Learning curve here I come. Anyone want to take bets on how long before I get it out in some waves? I have a total of two five minute stints on a SUp three years apart.
I can't wait to wet the thing. Thanks to the people I pmed for advice and assurance of wave performance as that is my ultimate goal - to hit some uncrowded bombies that are difficult to prone surf. Look out for my pics from Cow Bombie next week.
Drip, good luck mate, you'll have a ball. I have the earliest carbon model and it's great and very jealous of your new one. They are solid as and very forgiving to learn and perform great too when you're ready. Welcome to the evoke club and make sure you post some piccies of you carving.
only a guess from having picked it up but about 7-8 kgs, easy to carry with the monkey grip handle, quad & thruster set up depending on your pleasure, plus the pic above is different from the actual board as the board I looked at was a very dark green brushed type finish, double leash plugs for those hairy wipeout moments and a good rocker to handle a steep take off if required
Yesterday i got the opportunity to shoot the 2016 Carbon Evoke at Northern NSW is pumping waves. The vid will be online in the next couple of days, but for now here are a few shots.
Jarrod
Great work Jarrod! I just saw a snippet of the video on Instagram too. Looks real good. Hopefully I'll update to the new model this Sunday for a Father's Day pressie
Great shots and a spectacular location, but I don't appreciate you rubbing it in that you don't have to wear a wetty at this time of year
What fin set up were you using?
Im using Shapers Power Quads. I can't find them on their website though!
So now I know why I am still waiting for my Evoke to show up. You blokes are out surfing! No new board for the weekend which is a shame because I am heading down the south coast.

Hey Dack,
All the important people were still working :) Send me a PM with your details, i will look into it for you.
Any chance of getting a few closer photos of the 2016 7'11" Carbon Evoke posted especially the tail and rails. Almost ready to pull the trigger on getting one of them, down to the final 2 boards on my list but I have no chance in seeing one, let alone demoing the Evoke before I buy.
And I have a 10' arriving this week hopefully so perhaps you can extrapolate the 7'11" from that. Let me know if you are keen. I may be a bit closer than Perth.
Here's a quick vid from our first session on the 2016 Carbon/PVC Evoke in Northern NSW.
I'm down to 66kg, so i was very interested to see how the 7'11 would feel on the wave at 131.5L. I figured out my feet placement after a couple of waves and the latest Evoke didn't disappoint. I've had some of my favourite sessions on "bigger" boards, and its always enjoyable having plenty of stability in between sets.
Looks good! Can you provide the dimensions? I am curious how a conventionally shaped board is 7'11" and 131 L.
