With all due respect you'd have to weigh under 60 kg at those specifications. Incredible looking SUP/Mini Mal though.
the guy is a fat daddy and 6'10 tall he'll need need a periscope for that thing
and the tail on that board is so pulled in its not funny............
youve got that sinkin feeling!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome looking board mate!! im heading up your way soon would'nt mind catching up on the water and comparing
Marty
I am a tall 82 kilos and it is surprisingly stable even with a small thin tail. By the way it is completely wrapped in innegra and that's a carbon stringer running down the centre, super strong
Hey mate it weighs 7kg with fins and a full deck grip that's soaked up water, a bit heavier than normal but I neede this one built to take a beating, when are you heading up
All credit to you!!! I'd have to have two of them and use them like water skis (and I'd still be hopeless) I'd love to see some vid!!
Hi Geoff,
That about the same size as Kristi's board and she is only 55kg ish and if you have as much fun as she does your gonna love it.
The scoop deck really enhances the stability and the mid noes do too.
I believe you can go 1/2 to 3/4 inches narrower and 3-4 inches shorter with the scoops and still maintain lots of stability.
Post some vid please
Phill
YYYEEEEEWWWWWW!!!! That board looks unreal!!!!
Would love to test it out when Im up your way next.... Any cover shots there Jodie??
I have ridden Marty's LB - would like to see the comparison also!
Hi Geoff,
Awesome looking board. Don't think I could go that small as my 8'6" Surftech is probably my limit with comfortable stability in wind and chop. Will definitely be getting my next board off Tully. If you don't mind giving out trade secrets, What fins do you run?
John
Hey mate I usually ride a pretty large shortboard set up but because of the size of this board I'm down to a set of Kelly fins (k2.1)
Excellent pics Geoff and awesome Supping!!. Now if I was only 20 kilos lighter and had heaps more ability and........ When you start to think that most of the good or really hot Suppers are on boards way smaller than Mals, it begs the question what are the Mal riders complaining about?? There are certainly many learners on SUPs but in my observation there are way more learners on Mals and Shortboards. You Geoff, prove once more that excellent surfing is not confined to Shortboards and Mals..
Hot looking board , cant fault the master of custom built sups , surftech should be making more laguna bay style shapes ,than some of the other out- dated shapes there running with . great job tully
