The 2014 Ke Nalu Australian Flatwater SUPfest is done and dusted.
We had a fantastic time and wish to offer a massive thank you to Australian Canoeing, AuSUP and the SA SUP Crew for organising and running a flawless event.
We've heard nothing but positive comments from everyone involved, including the pro paddlers.
Ke Nalu are proud to be involved with the event and are even more stoked that a few of our team paddlers came away with the trophies.
Well done to everyone that participated, whether you came first or last....you all had smiles on your faces at the end of each days racing.
Looking forward to next year
Agreed, it was a fantastic weekend in Adelaide.
Kudos to major sponsor KeNalu Australia, as well as trophy sponsors - Core Boardsports, Fying Objects, Dale Chapman Design, Indian Ocean Paddle Sports, Starboard, YOB Australia, Naish, Walk On Water, Fanatic and Digital Media Creations.
The support of all these companies has provided a launch pad for this event and race format. As Dean said above, the feedback has been entirely positive from everyone on the ground in Adelaide, and that is testament to the efforts of Phil 'Fuzzy" Pretty and the SA SUP Crew, along with all volunteers and sponsors of the event.
Super professional event, such close racing in all divisions, epic mateship and just bloody good fun!
PS a big thanks to Fuzz for organizing the fresh crabs and prawns for everybody Saturday after the racing
I should have a video / movie of the event up by Thursday. Some great footage, great racing and even greater aerial footage from Maurice . Some hilarious interviews by doggy as well...... Stay tuned
