Great way to finish the day being the 1st punter in Oz to pick up a 2014 Fanatic Falcon. New paddles from Ke Nalu as well. Thanks WindsurfnSnow, Fanatic and Ke Nalu.
Sorry about the side on photos. It's an iPad thing. Matty Boy is normally behind the lens. Couldn't get rid of him.

Send all of ours up now.
Definatly cant wait.
After two solid weeks of paddling the 14' Demo I am having withdrawals....
Orrr they look pretty nice Johnny boy, you'll be real quick on those, nothing will stop you now........except Warwick..
We can hopefully test the hype factor this weekend as almost all the new Falcon range will be at JPP time trials this Sunday to have a play with.
Looks nice for some friday arvo downwinding in Sydney also!

Yeah, they took it off me for you Pete!
Looks like a massive design change from my 2013 12'6" Falcon.
What combinations of length & width are they available in?
Is that bottom profile (rail to rail) a bit of a belly, flat or concave?
Do they have ledge style carry handles?
Are the Flys and All Waves also being changed a lot?
Hi John
Do you think it will make more than 3 seconds difference over 10K
Yes it will for sure. These are much faster. Doesn't need to be 3 seconds. Just enough to get in front of you and stay there. Over 50s is getting too bloody competitive.!!

The paddlers in Cairns, Mackay and Townsville loved the new 14 footer.
Cant wait till hear if the Sunshine Coast crew enjoyed it too

Its an interesting board Pete fpr sure. It literally catches runner by itself, with what seemed like no need for trim? I tried to bury the nose....but it just seems to sink to a certain point...track dead straight. The only thing I found was the back end would catch up to the front, like backing in a moto. The front would sit deep and the back would come around it. Thats how stable the front end is... It rode well off the tail to my surprise and was awesome going through waves. I can't comment on flat water speed until I give it a strap around the lake kawana course flat bicky... I don't think its any slower in the flat than the old one even though its ocean legs are seriously improved... but Im not sure its any quicker either.
I hopefully get mine this week and will do a video test like I did on last years falcon.
Cant wait to do a DW run on it. its going to level the playing field for sure against what were thought as the best DW boards !!
Stoked the boards are here!! This is the exact board Jake and ang just done so well overseas on In everything from dead flat to super bumpy confused water. Hope you all enjoy as I know I do!!
How heavy is the 14' ?
Doesnt show on their website
From the ones I just paddled overseas which are the same as the ones just arriving here and guessing the weight I would Say around 11kg ish. I have not put them on a scale though so could be less or maybe a bit more.

24.75" and 27.25" in 12'6" and 14' the 30" model shape remains unchanged from last year.
Flat up front convex at the tail
Ledge handle
Changes to the Allwave but Official release date still a couple of weeks away.

Also a big nose which is riding over waves ratter than digging in like the 2013 model.
Agree with Skebstebamal, Sam Parker and I think similar or just marginally faster flat water speed but there is a big difference in swell and downwind, I was very surprised how easily the 2014 model picked up small swell.
The board comes with 2 handle straps as well as the new carry handle.
Jeez, Fanatic marketing must be the slackest on the planet, or on the best weed.
Got a range of SUP's to name, just use the same names you use on your windsurfing boards.
That will make web searches so much easier for those looking for either type!
(Insert face palm image)
Don't worry Glen, the way you paddled in the flatwater the other week you have already made up your 3 seconds
You better come to JPP with the Central Coast crew on the 8th Sept.....Mal
So the 12'6, 30 ' wide is the new shape or hasnt changed from 2013 model? (Confused)
No Kickels the 14' x 30" hasn't changed from last year. The others have.
I test paddled the 14' x 27.25" on Saturday. It had lots of good features, paddled nicely, caught a small runner well, was very responsive etc. but wasn't for me. After two tests and maybe 2 k's I found that I need more stability than it offered. Not getting rid of my All Wave though.
ET.
Thanks ET I also tested the falcon 14 on sunday. Didnt really take it long though it was very popular. I did notice it was rockier then the last model.
Im wondering if the 12'6, 30' would lessen the rocky feel?
Or should I just buy the 30' in 2013 model. I cant seem to find all the specs online I guess fanatic havnt posted them yet well for the falcons anyway.
