Hi guys - been been feeling a bit ragged the last week so rather than whinge about it and the lack of surf I decided to get some quality time with Jazz - and its been absolutely wonderful re-hab (in so many ways)

Each morning (very early) I have been saddling up the mutt, throwing her on the sup and just heading up Tally creek and stopping at sandbanks for a play and swim - hey it's so good for the soul (and the little ahsoul foxy when she takes of after seagulls and crabs and won't come back)

You wouldn't think this was a saturday morning on the Goldy hey

Very nice area, and certainly not the goldy I've always been familiar with.

My old keeper mate - a 2008 9x30 Starby - the hound loves it and I've added a bit of grip up front for her. The picture on the board is a sticker of my old foxy that someone made up for me.

I've been doing it as well BB but I have a rottwieler and dont think she'd go well up on the front. I did have a go out in the surf but all that falling off and climbing back on aggravated the back a bit.

Just take it slow mate - it takes time to get the sealegs - just paddle around a bit in open water and get the muscles used to it before tackling waves

Yep I reckon a rotty could get tricky - a 3.5kg foxy can even catch me off guard sometimes an nearly put me in the drink.

I had to double check which forum room I was in !!

Great work BB. Somebody gave you a red, and I just corrected it.

PS - This 7'8 is a beautiful shortboard (midlength) cruiser... Worth having something like this in the quiver. This sort of a over-lay of the McTavish Egg, Sumo, the BobSled, and Rincon '68 (the later not really an official model).

In fact, anyone could order a Triple Strung BobSled in plain, or simple tints, and minimal logo's....

Thanks mate - I wasn't aware that I had to post in the dark room just cos I had a sup in the pics (obviously someone disagreed) I was just sharing some nice life stuff with the crew. If I'd posted it over there I am sure someone would have asked if I needed to change fins to suit different sizes of dog
I would like to think that we can post in this room about anything - boards, familiy, locations, cars, footy - sh#t, whatever hey. I am really really enjoying going for a paddle with the pup at 4.30 in the mornings and as it gets hotter it's gunna be the only time of day to do it. If anyone has a surf style sup and wants to join me you are more than welcome - and even better if you have a dog as well - no big bad raceboardy types though cos I like to go slow and just take it all in - I'm in no hurry and don't really go too far.

I agree on all fronts BB. It's great to cruise on a SUP, and we should be able to post about anything.

I have actually wondered whether there would be any benefit in running slightly larger side bites when I have the dog on cos I seem to be lacking drive out of turns ? BAHAHAHAHA - scary thing is that I could probably get serious mileage out of this "you know where"
