Dave, what's happened?
Have you crashed or are you trying to find some volleys on line???

Hey Nozza
No still land paddling but my GoPro broke and still no replacement so no action to show for it. I paddles StKilda the other week now I can go 25km and have had one SUP. Nov 8 cannot come quick enough so I can find more places to go.

Hope you guys in Vic are allowed back out on the water.
Back into lockdown here in France. Well a sort of half lockdown. Looks like I won't get out on the water for at least 4 weeks.

Got in some different scenery today, YEAH!! Practiced a bit of hill bombing slowly creeping higher and higher up each hill until I felt I reached my limit, these are the 2 biggest runs.
This one my Garmin says I hit 98kmph, I don't think so and I looked through the data and top speed was actually 39kmph.

Allowed back in the water, 25km maximum travel distance from home, no time limits anymore.
Feeling slow and unmotivated after so long off.
Bit over a week until we can travel further

39 k still a serious speed.
At about 25k my trucks get very loose and I am in danger of doing a speed wobble / tank slapper.
But I am in "fast" mode on the remote most of the time now

And I like the way you have people scurrying off the path as you approach.
One thing I had to be careful about was not hitting people with the paddle as I went past - easy to leave it hanging out to the left

I make sure I hit the ground with some force to make a noise with the paddle it gets their attention

Today I finally learnt how to slide around a corner to keep control at speed, it's like hanging out the tail of a car for fun and also slows you down in a hard corner. The other good thing is I can stop when necessary if I am going to fast or something appears in front of me. Makes me feel more in control and comfortable knowing I can stop if I have to in a hurry.
The scraping noise is my slide glove and the other noise are my wheels sliding, I stayed upright and on the board all the way around and was able to continue up the hill in one motion. Up and down the car park took 10km of practice to get it consistently similar.
