My one tip would be to swap the fins out for something more performance oriented. It makes a huge difference to how the board surfs.

Good to experiment with fins. I just stuck a big 10" fcs connect II on to run single fin. Gave it it's first run in a head high break that I normally can't handle and it's given me much more confidence in being able to move my back foot around. Can't do anything radical but at least I'm not struggling to retain control.
Great paddle, but highly recommend you gaffer up the edges to protect it, you and the board.

3M Helicopter tape, but it is quite expensive.
A cheaper solution is to use quality vinyl electric tape (the plastic ones, not the cloth ones). Quality brands like 3M will have a much better glue.
If possible, take one that is close to the color of your rails: black tape can leave black marks on the rails: it washes off easily, but...

Shab, mate I use Nitto tape from bunnings. Nice and thick and works a treat.
