We had our last SUP session late yesterday
. .. for Fiji that is.

The most SUPable spot for the entire trip was the left
near Dump Trucks.

The lefts were the least wind chop effected as they were always
on the leward side of the peaks .. when the trades are
blowing, which is most of the time.

On the south Coral Coast it seems that the biggest, best,
most consistant and works all tide and all size swells, is
Frigates. Also uncrowded and supposeadly comparable
with Cloud Break .. bit it is an 80min boat trip to get out there.
We went out only once and our share of costs was Fj$50 for fuel
and $20 for our guide/driver each x 3 ways.

Next time I'll bring my own board for sure .. conditions are tricky
enough so a familiar, performance board, to me, would make a
huge difference

Any pics ?

SCOTTY DO YOU LOOK

AS GOOD AS YOUR AVATAR PIC ?[

Does anybody ?

By the way, I was staying at Shangri-La with the Mrs and kids August 2011.
I took my 14ft Sup with me and cruised around a few villages - great experience.
I noticed when looking out from the lagoon there was this pumping right on the right hand side of the outer reef. Do you know if anybody has surfed that ?
It looked to be a charging 6ft and perhaps not for the faint hearted.
I recall Goatman knew about the break.

Scotty I surfed it every day when I was there for a wedding about 4 years ago always surfed it alone and had to pay the boat driver to drop me out there the main guy from the resort .... It's a really fun right has a full dog leg in it as it swings around the inside of the reef and barrels to ... I was there in late march and it was offshore in those winds ?? Hope this helps

I am booking a flight to Fiji to have my hair styled.
ET.

On departure from Mango Bay I was farewelled by our
team hairstylist, ELIZBETH, who advises that the boot
camp is now enlisting another intake .. and the books are
still open for new recruits.

Wes and Bill are also keen to get involved .. although
Bill has a fractured punching fore-arm at the moment
but he's keen to get even.. errr .. better and back to
work.

As much as you would like to engage a one person
management team, just a hairstylist, you will find
that difficult to achieve ..but good luck.

My hair style has never looked better.
