Anyway, I was after your wit, folks.......c'mon c'mon.
I don't do wit...
Just comment you feel sorry for his wife if his dick is like his surfing.?
Only able to stand up for seconds at a time
As long as he doesn't have a come back about you liking to wrap your hands around a shaft and stroke you should be right
I think the point you guys are missing that Legion is trying get across is , the Sup has taken out the crawl before you walk phase in surfing which is causing all the problems. Anyone that is half decent on a shortboard has put years into it to get to that stage , along the way they learn the rules & respect code that goes with it. But the Sup has enabled punters to get into the line up in just months or weeks. I'm talking about Sup riders who have never surfed before and all of a sudden they are in the line up oblivious to who is surfing around them. It's the new breed of Sup Super Kooks that is blowing it for the seasoned Suppers.
The second phase of the SSK is he gets better , grows horns and starts catching everything burning even more surfers and cleaning them up when he gets caught in front of them. Phase 3 is worst they worst when they start backing themselves beyond their ability taking off out wide and not making the take off and landing on them as they duck dive. It's up to us (seasoned Suppers) to go over to these guys and sit down and tune them on what's right and wrong.
Might seem a bit harsh but that's reality. I'm so sick of pulling up to a carpark or paddling out and copping stink eye before I have even caught a wave but that's why it is. Teach respect and show respect and things will change and if it's a super crowded spot go somewhere else , that's the best part of being on a Sup we can surf anything and let the shortboard floxum drop in on each other in peace.
Peace Out
amen
After reading all of this, I laught, and then went and shared Piros's old short vid,"it's all surfing "to my face book page. Thanks for some perspective Piros.
Piros said....." not making the take off and landing on them as they duck dive"
To me
one of the most annoying things is a bunch of shortboard clowns sitting in the impact zone and then getting alarmed when you appear to be about to surf through them
Yeah , the short boarders run over the kooks, the sups run over the the short boarders and the windsurfers run over everyone. Point being you just need to buy more toys , learn how to use them and have one for every occasion.
True....but if you sit in the impact zone and bigger waves come through.....maybe you are in the wrong place
I find that's a good indicator that I _am_ in the right spot. If I never have to duckdive anything, I'm probably not going to catch anything either. Remember, we don't take a football field run-up.
just been for a weekend prone surf at the alley. i can tell you there are more kooks and idiots on shortboards and mals than i've ever seen on sups. about a 1/3 have no right to be sitting on the point/inside section
case dismissed
There I was thinking I might get a light shower of handy retorts and lo! the heavens opened.
Piros, you're pretty well spot on about a main cause. Don't forget the blokes who could surf well, either short board or mal, and caught too many waves as it was and then got on a sup and made a right pig of themselves, though.
Sounds like everyone needs a good uncrowded surf.
I came across 3 SSK's this morning. i decided to sup the bluff at first light. not really a sup friendly place at all so i only ever go there if im the only sup and surf appropriately so as not to change the mood of the line up. So there i was only taking the small inside ones and a few of the wider ones that nobody could get.
Then 3 SSK's paddle out on there chinese plastic boards and foamies and go straight off the point an take the first wave they see. all getting cleaned up. clearly these guys had not spent the time getting their surf skills up and had no respect for any other surfer out there.
i was having an epic session until they rocked up. i paddled straight in not wanting to be associated with such people. Piros is right, people like this ruin it for everyone

So you stopped having fun , because you were surfing the same type of craft as the Trouble makers ....... Come on let's get fairdinkum here , would you paddle in if you were on a Mal and there were kook Mal crew there ?
Or like someone else said a packed lineup with a half dozen kook short boarders , ......oh ****e I had better paddle my short board in and stop having the time of my life ,because I don't want to be associated with them .......
Let's not get crazy with this bull dust !!!
You bet I did. Went in grabbed a coffee then paddled back out on my Mal.
Much more fun surfin a Mal chatting with the locals then supping an getting stink eye from those same locals.
As much as we don't want to admit it steriotyping is real (and the basis of racism). One respectful supper and everyone is happy, another less respectful comes out and all of a sudden all the sups are in the wrong.
Don't get me wrong I think it's rediculous the way it works. Was having a laugh with a mate about it today. You can be the worlds biggest wave hog an snake on a Mal an nobody cares but if you did the same on a sup it would be the end of the world.
As for kook Mal riders, that's usually every Mal rider (including myself)
The point I'm really trying to make is every time I go out there I try and get the locals used to stand ups as equals. Which requires being a little conservative and overly respectful. But it feels like this work is undone when SSKs paddle out.

The difference is that kooks on shortboards usually sit closer in or on the shoulder, not further out in the most conspicuous spot and then plowing through the pack.
To change it up I surfed with a SSF today. A fisherman, who came out on the rocks and insisted on casting inshore of me. No hookups (of me) but it must have been close a few times.
