After having a look I feel like having a Tequila Sunrise, will be interested to see the prices now that they all seem to be GTW.

Hey Zeusman,

They are no longer in the mainstream line up. However I did get some specially made up for Australia. I will have stock of the New 8'0" and 8'10" and I believe OCean Addicts has a couple of custom Casper Steinfath models. But they're limited and first in best dressed.

Ride safe,

JB

The Javelin was such a specific board and riders generally only want to travel with one board, so we made the Maliko faster .

The Maliko has been enhanced in everyway.

www.naishsurfing.com/product/maliko-140-x24-carbon/

Definitely now even more so the best one board race quiver - Already proving itself in international races.

Would need to see what the good people at Windsurfing Perth Ordered, give them a call to see if they have a Nalu GTW on it's way. Yes the 2018 Nalu GTW graphics look awesome, best yet by far.

It is interesting to see that they are now promoting flat wings, as their previous and current offerings were all curved wings.

Being able to change the stab angle is indeed quite important. It is like changing the rocker of a board, it also makes the foil handle differently in turns.

The small rudder is intriguing...

I think the turned down wing tips are only on their surfing and sup foils.

Could it be that the curved down wing tips are there mostly to alowe higher lean angles that's more needed for surfing than for windsurfing.. even if it means a slight loss in lift..

..and I'm thinking the small rudder that's there for windsurfing and not for surfing is to assist with straight tracking that might be more necessary for windsurfing than it is for surfing.

Thinking about it, it may also be for SUPing. If you are a competent SUPer, the row of a finless foil board is not a problem, but I have seen people attracted by foiling buying a SUP board + foil, but not having the sufficient paddling technique to master the row effect... and reselling their brand new gear out of frustration. They did not accept that they had to work on their paddling technique first. (and didn't thought to just keep the normal fins on the board for the learning phases...)

But this is pure speculation here, as I didn't try with and without a rudder to compare things.

JB,

Do you know why Naish stopped the pro/le line of the hokua... An outstanding shape?

Does anyone know why Naish deletes videos and specs of boards from past years?? I have tried clicking on such links but getting a 'Page does not exist' message. It used to be very useful to have access to that.

I know Gong removes the specs of past models otherwise people were thinking they were still available, and it can generate a lot of confusion. We actually read a very small portion of a web page.
What Gong does it that it just suppress the links, but the pages still exist. So you can find them by looking specifically for them via Google, a nice compromise.

For the Naish site, and other sites that delete the old pages, you can look in the past via the "Wayback Machine", e.g:
web.archive.org/*/naishsurfing.com/

The new range looks good shame about the Hokuas ,I wouldn't part with mine ,but what would be really really good if Naish would sell replacement paddle shafts .Its very disappointing that you can not purchase paddle shafts , I have a collection now of paddles and handles but no shafts. SO if you could make a suggestion JB to Naish it would be much appreciated.

Globally the line was not viable. It is difficult to build boards that our pro riders want/need to ride and make them also appropriate for consumers. Our range now covers an excellent crsoss section of high performance boards with Mad Dog, X32 and Hokua.

This said I did do a sneaky order of new unseen 8' and 8'10" Hokua Pro's, available November. Limited numbers so speak with your local dealer and reserve yours before they're all gone.

I also ordered for Ocean Addicts some Casper Steinfath Pro Models, 7' and 8'. These are actually Casper's dims on his file. There is only one of each. If you're interested speak with Luke at Ocean Addicts.

Ride safe,

JB
