5. Tony Leitch
The cream of Tasmania's SUP racing crew gathered Saturday for the iconic "Carlton River 10" run over 12.5 km in absolute perfect conditions.
Riverider used his local knowledge to gain an early lead, only to be reeled in by the rest of the field, by the 1/2 way turning point (primrose bridge) Kevin, Mick & Matt obviously using illegal drafting techniques had open up a lead on the others and couldn't be caught.
2MT once again dominated in the over 70 division over the shorter course to take the trophy.

Carlton Park S.L.S.C surf festivals inaugural SUP race was run today in testing onshore conditions. The impressive 360 air that Matty completed as the competitors hit the water for the first time rattled his competition, but they quickly disregarded this and left him wallowing in the shallows, Ben took the early lead only to have a couple of falls and passed by Kevin, Matty fought his way back on the second leg and managed to catch some good runners which took him into the lead and was never troubled for the rest of the race, meanwhile in the woman's race Serena blitzed the field and even completed an extra lap for good measure.

3 SUP comps in a row is not nearly enough as every keen SUPer knows, so this Sunday we have another one, Park Beach Boardriders are holding round 2 of their Summer Series comps, which includes a SUP surf & also SUP race comps and don't forget you will go into the draw for a surfboard donated by Red Herring Surf
Park Beach Board Riders held its second Summmer Series Competition in 1 to 2 foot surf that slowly faded away as the day progressed.
This particular competition saw the largest number of competitors since the reformation of the club in 2013. It is greatly appreciated that the club is being so strongly supported.
