looking good for tomorrow, 6m swell for a morning surf followed by 35knot westerly for downwinder from 7mile to dodges in the arvo
No, you havn't missed much lately.
BUT, I'M SMILING...
BECAUSE i'VE JUST DISCOVERED
ANOTHER SUP SUPERBANK.
All will be revealed this weekend
on Tassie SUP forum
with photos.
CLUES .. it's local .. 400m+ ride
Can't imagine where this new super bank is but had a fun session at the old super bank late this afternoon. only one out most of the time.
Don't know how long in metres but winter managed to get 1 wave outside lauderdale point all the way in to the dog leg on the beach tapping the 2 minute mark. Points are different I know but was a winner. Will dig the go pro footage out and post sometime.
first photo ever taken of stooges, took the paddle over this morning by myself to find stooges firing as usual, just me and six empty peaks to choose from.
If it is where im thinking i have often wondered if it is awesome. Is it over on the seven mile beach side from the dodgers ferry boat ramp?
I reckon on a bigish swell you'd get some good waves in there. It'd have to get around the island though... ANyone done it if this isn't the said superbank.
THE BIG REVEAL
couldn't do it due to lack of camera man
but will do it as soon as it all comes together.
ANYWAY
the Super Bank that we all know and love
is now working, as I speek.
5:00am launch
as I drove away to have breakfast Riverider drove in.
we call that SUP tagging
keeps all the others on their game
Just when they think it's safe ... another SUPpie pulls into the car park
Best surf I've had at the superbank since I have had the stungun, 4 hours and no more than 6 out at a time, hopefully we can do it again tomorrow
Crusin and Skeghead have been seen putting in some practice in the last few days in less than idea conditions, looks like they may have heard the rumour about the "Tassie SUP Platinum Paddle" to be held by Tassies no.1 supper as judged by the board of Tassie SUP.
The full rules of competition will be revealed soon, but this will run along the lines of International Boxing where we will have a champion (ie the holder of the Platinum Paddle) who will make themselves available to be challenged for the title by all comers in a paddler on paddler format.
Tassie SUP are keen to receive nominations from any challengers.
I would like to challenge Spencer
for the KFC Encouragement Award.
Is there a trophy on offer for that one ??
anyway .. where is Spencer ?
have they run him out of Noosa yet.
Apparently Spencer's been ripping it up at mujimba Island.
I have just got home from a session at Greenmount, me, two other Sups and a hundred odd surfers, got a few nice waves on my new JP carbon
What size JP have you got BIgman?
How do you go for stability
in the more open coastlines conditions ?
Cheers
Hi,
I'm trying to get a SUP race and and running at the Sandy Bay Regatta on the 26th for a bit of fun. Can anyone who is interested please let me know so when I meet the committee next week I can give them an indication of interest.
It will be over 1000 - 1500m around buoys.
Thanks.
