BUT MEANWHILE WE ARE ABLE
TO CONFIRM THAT DoctorSUP
HAS ONCE AGAIN BEEN RETAINED.

DoctorSUP will tend to the physical and
mental health issues which arise as a
result of the tensions that surface in the
build up to megga events .. stamina,
skills and gamesmanship will also be addressed.

Where is he anyway ??

Any profile boosting celebrities coming this year ?

Yes Skeghead .. of course.

We don't like to spill the beans too
early but defending celebrity entries are:

Current Titleholder Tas Champ Sam Morgan
Current Winter Classic Champ (VIC) flying in especially Courtney Dalton
Current 65+ Titleholder 2MT

That's enough to draw a crowd
anything else is a bonus.

Although we hope to rope
in the BIG WAVE CHASERS.
If they're not chasing big waves
on the day.

PLUS the roving Fanatic teamster Kyron

If there's anybody I missed
please raise your hand.

Good question RR, we can confirm so far that there will be.

DC Surf 8'2"
Adventure 8'4"
DC Surf 8'6"
Jimmy Lewis Stungun 8'7"
Jimmy Lewis Striker 8'11"
NSP coco 9'2"
DC/NSP coco 12'6"
DC/NSP carbon 12'6"

And remember last year some of the dealers were offering great discounts on their boards as a one off comp special, it's also a good time to pickup/offload any second hand boards you may have.

Hello again Winter Classic competitors.

At this stage of your preparation you should
be refining your skills for the forecasted conditions.
To this end I have consulted the ultra-long-term-
gurus and they have these very profound predictions:

We're still 12 days out but the word is that the high
pressure cells will endure and he'll have glassy to
light off-shore winds at Roaring Beach, Nubeena.
Waves 3 to 4 ft with excellent banks and deep
gutters for SUPers to escape into.

The early mornings will present with -2C frost
but it will burn off quickly and the comp will be
held in brilliant Tasmanian sunshine .. max +15C
with water temp to match. In a word "BALMY"

Booties .. 7mm thick .. are recommended.

Toughen-up the body to perform
in the above conditions.

That's right TassieD, 1st heat in the water by 9.30ish, Roaring or Eaglehawk are the main options, but they are others as well in the area that could be on

Bugger me you boys must have very "big Kahuna's" to venture out in those conditions.

Real ironmen, that's all I can say.

On the contrary ET, some will have very small Kahuna's when they get out of the water in those temperatures

Does anyone need a board to enter the comp or would like to ride something different from their usual quiver of boards? Is Courtney able to bring a board with him? Does he need a board/paddle?

Let me know if I can help anyone out with gear.

Yes Tortise

Eagle Hawk neck was working with
solid head high sets and with lulls between
making for ease of paddling out.

We also had a coffee at the Lufra Hotel
($70/night/double or twin share)
and we checked out the TV reception
to make sure that all is in order for
the Collingwood V Hawthorn game
on Sat night .. and it is !!!

Looks like 20 persons booked in under
the Winter Classic deal .. so should be
convivial evenings on Fri and Sat.

only 7 sleeps.

Eaglehawk usually is a bit random.

But today .. Carlton River .. high tide.

a good pre-comp workout.

only six more sleeps.
