Thanks for the prompt ET, we will get the "design team" onto it, what colour do you think we should go for in 2014 ?

I reckon we could put the squeeze on Laurie for some seabreeze shirts for spot prizes as well this year, he got a good run out of our posts last time

I loved this years pale blue.

But for 2014 I am thinking a deep teal blue or deep aqua would be good.
Sort of like the colour of east coast Tasmanian waters.

I'm up for one.

Thanks for asking.

It's on the 21 / 6 and is run under surfing Tas .

If you are keen there will probably be a couple of spare SUPs for you to have a play on .

For anyone up for a big day - start the day in Hobart with a naked swim in the MOFO swim then cruise down to eagle hawk neck ( with the heater going ) and have a paddle in the winter classic .

Hadn't seen it on their page.

Just got back from the bruny comp actually, second in the open longboards, stoked!

Any restrictions on minimum size SUP? Might get one off my sponsor.

Tom.

No size restrictions that I am aware of , as long as you can stand up and paddle on it . The board Courtney won on last year was pretty short and I think a couple of the blokes around here are on 8 foot or less ATM

Billboards sadly out of action with an injury .

Would love to have Kyron on board but if he is tied up some of his mates are pretty hot SUP Surfers as well .

If you want to see what you are up against check out the Park beach board riders monthly comp . , From memory last years runner up , over 40 , over 50 and over 65 will all be competing there .

Great poster, looks like you had great waves! Good choice of location too, plenty of options for Surf, BOP and downwind. It will be great to try and coordinate some Mainland SUP coach's to come along for some sessions too.

I agree CB

Was talking to our 2013 Winter Classic Champ

.. STANDITO .. the other day.

He's coming down from Vic

He's had a bit of a setback with injury

But he's coming for the party ..

anything else is a bonus.

Have to agree with the venue .. waves abound.

Checked the rule book - the use of paddles in a nonfunctional manner such as twirling will earn no points in SUP surfing contests - 10 out of 10 for effort though

And niiiiiiice paddle ,
