Giving serious thought about going back to a C4 9.3 subvector. For some reason I keep going back to old boards I have previously owned, rather than going forward. I think thats why I love my old keeper (the 9x30 starby) - the more I try newer models, the more I like the older models. It's good that some companies are continuing the older models with minor tweaks in colours/fins/handles etc. As you know LL I have owned/ridden LOTS of sups and some of the best I have ridden are the old starbys, older c4s and boards like your old woody 9.3.

Me too. I want to do some more exploring the reefs, so maybe even a 12ft gun?

( while my 8'8" is great on beachies, it feels like it will sink whenever I stop paddleing, so I wouldn't mind some glide..)

Im looking at the 9'11" psh ripper or a 10'lsd carver.Ive seen the ripper in the flesh and she looks pretty hot,Im yet to have a look at the lsd but I will before I make a desicion.Theres so much variety around that its bloody hard to make up my mind one week Im frothing over one design and the next week Im drooling over sompthing else.I also want to get sompthing around the 12' mark but first things first.

just looked at the ltrs, and was suprised to see it under the Naish 7.3...only one way to find out. It wont be my only surf sup or every day one, but If i can manage it, it will come out when the surf is good and clean.

would also love the bombie explore have looked at this on and off for 12 months...alas dont have the income

the bombie looks nice. that psh teatrea is on about this one look like the kind of board for big alley or something- lots paddling, rough water, rips and wind etc.
a short sup in that stuff isn't much fun.
cheers

Board I'm drooling over - well I sold a PSH 9'2" all arounder and can't help thinking how fun it was and how much I want it back, but I recently had a go on Dogman's red and orange Lagna Bay 8"6" with scooped deck, thinnned down nose and tail and virtually no swing weight. It turned like nothing I've ridden before.

I'm now hanging out for my new custom board from Tully with the trendy resin bleed glass job

LSD 8'8 maybe, like the shape but not sure if I am happy to drop to 110L

Love the look of the DTM boards, nice thin rails and great shape.

And Dogmans boards from Tully...

Yep I'll have one of each, now how do I convince the missus that my boards mysteriously multiplied.

I miss the late 80's as a late teen. Surfing 3 times a day, eating bowls of corn flakes all day and watching the 2 greatest surf movies of my era - Performers & Mad Wax. "We want to go to Pipeline, sure Wiz". I'm excited about getting back out there. Where has that time gone ?

Bit off topic but the idea of boards always gets me thinking of a custom board designed by the individual with insight and help from a profesional shaper, definately on my bucket list when I can afford to make one.

On topic the shapes of the DTM's, Laguna Bays and the DC's (does Dale still make surf SUP's) look awesome to me around the 9' mark. Support the local industry for the future is where I'd like my dollars to go.

Being new to SUP, with current limited resources I am currently looking for second handies. A surf SUP in the 9'6 to 10' range that will float 93kg ie Coreban Icon or Simon Anderson Carrier etc (proving difficult)

It just happens that i'm about to sell my 10'0 mana to make way for a smaller performance board. Its in great condition, only 6 months old and its the current model. PM me if interested.

Im tossing up between a few different boards, new 9'2 fanatic, 9'0 magic carpet plus a few others are in my sights. Has anyone got any other suggestions on what i should demo? I hover around 92kg
