Downwind / upwind out of Half Moon Bay in honking south easterly.
Two laps enough - the upwind was a bit hard.
Any more wind it wasn't going to be possible.
Took the Atlantis Runway nose-rider out at Manly lunchtime yesterday....YEEEE HAAAAA - it was big and bumpy with some serious bomb sets coming through. A little too bumpy for the Acid
After 2 previous failed attempts (had the wrong boards for the job) I finally got a few waves at the Queensie Bombie today. The waves out there are a totally different style compared to a beach or point break. No pictures unfortunately (or should I say proof)
Well, I can't recall the last time I saw a 9/10 rating from Swellnet - but that was today's rating and Manly was going off big time.
my first session was on the Sunova Acid ( out there with Andrew from Balmoral boards on his Sunova (Speed?)) and then took the Atlantis Runway out for a session. Snapped my leggie on a monster bomb set and had to swim a long way to get back to dry land.
should have taken the Venom with me cause that would have been the board for the day. The Bower was also smokin.
Gigantic storm coming Monday - Tuesday.... gonna dump up to 24" of snow
Wind is going to be interesting with all that snow.
Should be waves
It's Spring next Tuesday... but I don't think it got the memo.
rodriguez, winter weather is never a factor, we're always in the water.... here's my last session... 3 days ago
