Mac I'm about to get a 14' x30" Coreban Dart for training and trying out the downwind thing. From reports they're pretty stable .

OK I travelled into a sup store found a second hand JM at a good price then a JP speedstar 12.6 x 29 timber deck.
Awesome looking board loved the shape and rails however will it have enough litres I'm not sure.
JP allwater 12'6" x 30" is a great all rounder. Downwinds very nicely.

one thing mac- don't look at rails like a surfboard
Mate that pic I sent you had massive rails too high and the other board had much more refined rails sat nice looked a goer well on the showroom floor anyway, heading down soon then a stop at you know where and have a chat with Mr serious

thats exactly what i mean- don't look at it like a surfboard. squarer rails are not a problem for where you are going. often faster then rounded. my gl's are very square but doesn't affect it in the rough one bit. most racing sup are squarer railed then rounded at the present time. the squarer the rail the more benefit you get out of the width of the board= more stability. the jm 12'6 x 30 is a reasonably fast board and very stable. mr serious might be at the supsa comp today
I'm with you on the rails less roll more stable faster paddler for a nob can't wait to beat you in the over 50's
Hey Mac, I have a super stable 12'6 x 29 here if you want to borrow it. I surf it and it goes great.

Piece of cake Mac - you will be fine on it. It will feel like a boat
I had a run on the new 12'6 x 27 Fanatic yesterday morning in a light swell. Plenty of volume and crazy stable (I'm a clumsy fat bastard and I could move up & down it, step back and kick turn it ). Might be worth a look.
12'6 x 30 Glide like DJ's is great, so is the older 12'6 x 30 Fanatic. And there's the 12'6 x 29 DC/NSP.
Spoiled for choice.
Yes thanks guys I checked out the old stock carbon today 12.6 x 30,I only want a big arsestable flatwater cruiser however I believe this board comes with more options a little surf or DW which I won't be doing either.

I can say this is TRUE!!
62Mac bit the bullet and committed himself today along with his mate Vanders
I'd never even held a paddle until today but I can't let mac have all the fun without me & I thought I'd better try something other than my longboards, thanks Angie for you help & guidance.
