Ive a question for the 10 plus wave pigs.
If you rolled up to a perfect point with 2 to 3 ft waves with nobody would you surf your 11 or 12 fter.

Thankyou. I rest my case

Well said I told you this 10 foot and over club is just another fad like those sup things that were about years about.

Great report Glide, geez mate watch out, you'll get crucified for even thinking such a board could be even close to a regular 'go to' board. If you listen to the masses unless it's 9'3 - 9'6 it couldn't possibly be versatile or fun, and will certainly not do anything but go straight.

We're all meant to struggle to paddle onto waves, wear ourselves out paddling back out and take a long time to get back to the takeoff zone so that every other person can get 2-3 more rides on their 9'1 while we're getting there. Whatever you do don't give yourself any advantages and defiantly don't smile because you've enjoyed yourself.

Ok there's the rules.

Haha...yep it was an eye opener for sure.
Being up and riding as u reach the take off zone opens up plenty of opportunities
the other thing I notice was the lateral distance i was covering....sections that flatten out you can just glide across and link up with one from the next peak or if it closed out you could get around the white wash and get the reform further down the line.
and yeah the paddling back out was quick too...you could see the joy in every bodies face when I made it back out again so quick ??
lets hope the honey moon continues.

Yep I get that a board of this MASS can beat the section BUT then WHAT Rip one off the tail

Not if it's 24inches wide.

Great report Glide. Sounds like a keeper. Great dims too. My personal opinion is you don't need a lot of width, unless you're a big gent, especially at that length.

Think Christenson bottoms and rail design also have a bit to do with how they carry their speed. Even at mid lengths they are quick boards and are great for covering ground.

Keep us updated after a few more surfs.

Yep possibly, if it means I could spend an hour or two extra out there enjoying the solitude why not. Not to say I would grab the 10'er for a while as well.

So why draw the line at 10', why have a longboard out there at all if it's over 2', let's all go back to short boards.

The thing about a good ten ft plus board is you can pull around those big white water sections...

Just in time to pull around another big white water section. .

Or just do what the kiddies do and ride the whitewater straight in
