I took my girl (Roman Nose Bull Terrier) in mid-2002 and have never gotten that far over it - bawled my eyes out all the way home ... still don't remember digging her grave to this day I was that gone.
haven't been able to bring another one in as yet - bad business seeing THAT look in her eyes.
Yep,had to do this with my 14 year old Golden Retriever two years ago,I knew it was the day,the Vet said best to let him go.Fk what a great mate he was my three kids grew up with him we swam went boating together he was a true mate and snake killer in his day.He is in my yard in his fav' spot overlooking the water still chasing ducks in the water. He rests under a palm tree that he grew up with now massive in height and his name is BEAR not after my fav' but he looked like a Polar Bear Pup when we picked him up from the breeder up the Sunny coast.
Moving on I have two little white fluffy things, Bailey another drink and Bentley who is so super cool and can do anything, still miss Bear champion dog won some gold along the way.
casper staffy- 10 years on site at work everyday. tough, sooky, playful, friendly, a chaser. only problem was loved a blew, but often didn't start them. never even looked like being aggressive to anyone
tough day at vets that.
10 years on still miss her
Sam (Samwise Gamgee - From Lord of the Rings) 1978 -1992, Springer spaniel. Great gun dog..I've never seen my old man so sad when he went.
Thanks Kagey, nice clips to start a Monday.
