So we all know beer is good...

But what is the breezes neck oil of choice at the moment.

My rule is no carton over $45 and

I have been a squires fan for a while but the price went back up so am back on the Coopers pale tonight ( the green one )

And fall back is usually the imported Becks.

Had a Matilda bay one the other night that was good called , minimum chips. Weird name good drink.

Anything brewed under the Reinheitsgebot, the German Purity Law. (google it) This can mean any European beer brewed in Europe and imported. Be careful, some so called imports are actually brewed here.

Favourites are Budvar and Stiegl.

If we had the same law here, our beer would be fantastic. Instead, it'a all just water and a few chemicals. Unless you get a local brew, but even then you can't be sure.

Flame suit on!

Back in 2009 I was loving $40 cases of Steinlager (Premium). Loved that stuff. Then the $40 deals stopped...

Like SP, I had a $40 case limit, and now a $45 limit;
Asahi (can be $45 to $47 sometimes)
Peroni (now usually $45 or under, now it is also brewed in Melbourne under license)
Stella
Coopers Pale Ale

Occasionally I lash out on a Otway's Summer Ale case. $60+...

I did indeed chrispy, she was a delight. It's the 15 year old Sicilian that came to the party later that I'm regretting.

heres the bomb lads... i have been reading a book on healthy eating

now while we all love beer , by drinking it, according to this book, it makes your body produce the female hormone estrogen , which then makes you put fat on like a chick

me included

so beer is turning us into women

just what the book said

i dont drink beer since reading that

Smicko you should be axed for a week for that photo - I just about spewed up my lunch!! Classic.

I love beer....Tooheys New is my staple....seems my beer tastes are similar to Simondo's - have some Asahi in the fridge at the moment...love Boags and an ice cold wife-beater (stellar) is one of fav's when I am away for the w/e. I have had a crack at the fifty lashes and a few other boutiques and find I like them for 3 or 4 but not if I am drinking 12 of them. Generally speaking if my beer is cold I love it except for Carlton & Fosters (does anyone drink that in Australia?).

Good rule that SP - mine used to be only drink beer that was brewed in its country of origin and if that country was Australia (which it most often is), then the stubby had to be no smaller than 375ml (I was narky at some of the smaller bottles that started appearing). But then I broke the rule when there was a really good special at the bottle-o.
Toohey's New is my go-to lager. Imported Becks is a favourite - tastes great and doesn't seem to hit too hard the next morning. And a Corona or two on a hot late arvo is bliss. (I even like their ads in the surfing mags.) Cheers.
