The clear one is a 7'4" Barry Bennett "Pocket Rocket"..around '69 safeset box and nylon/plastic fin..knifey rails.
The red is a good old Aussie Coffs Harbour made 6'10"Saggus about '72..now Imperial Surfboards on the south coast NSW.
Both demons ..in a straight line..but don't try to turn them quickly

Goes well Pup, really well. Had smoking waves this morning to christen it and off to Bali next Sunday.

Going fast in a straight line has been some of my seminal sessions. What is a barrel but going fast in a straight line? And big wave surfing is all about A to B.
Depends if the type of wave you surf and I can think of lots of places those boards would still be pretty functional for me. Maybe. Lol. I have ridden some old singles that didn't turn and didn't hold in. What a tragic combination.
The red one does it for me.
Looks better than Teds
You guys are harsh. I almost cried. But to be fair that board had one small rail ding from an flight on the rail and no other marks. No pressure dings etc. still looked new. It's been through countless bashings the last 7 months in Indo in waves it was not designed for and passed every test. Not too mention the amount of use it for prior to that. It was chunky n dredging low tide this morning and breaking square. It was not the boards fault. 4 of us were out there early and 3 of us broke boards. For the next hour or so no one paddled out until the tide came in a bit.
I saw Grunters crease one longitudinally. Two creases about a third in from both rails. It was years ago with their first boards, so not really comparable I guess, but interesting. I have never seen other boards crease longitudinally.

For sure both boards would be relevant on fast hollow waves..Kirra point would have them still howlin'

That looks like it would fly and six fin points too.
Yes smh its my newie its 906 x 23 x 3 1/8 evo 2 with the flatter 07 rocker and it was Lacey's idea he insisted he bless the board and have me post it before surfing this morning.
Yes TB like the green one I did it brakes the board up nicely with the solid colour which I think we did 4 1/2 foot down from the nose with 6 inch spacing between the black stripes. They nailed the watermelon colour as they did the green one.
Ha shark repellent will it would help maybe but it was all about art sake
