back in the olden days the nobbies chairlift went all the way to Currumbin.

guys where allowed to take their mals in the next chair behind them for a half price of the full price.

if a decent swell and wind was blowing after the morning surf, some guys would prone paddle there mals and dw back to nobbies to save money

Yeah Surf69,I spent about 4 years living on the GC and never knew anything about a chairlift at Nobby's to Currumbin?

Think you sucked 'em all in Lacey. Magic Mountain At Nobbys. Chair was built first to take people to the cafeteria on the top. The second owners put in some rides and made it into a theme park. Closed in 1991 and sold to developers for gazillions.

A chair lift from Nobbys all the way past Burleigh down to Currumbin, would be almost a world record length.

Just goes to show, you shouldn't believe everything you read on the Internet.

Classic! Thats Inji Carpark..all day long. Had a hell of a camping ground just behind the car park there to the left, had some absolutely killer times there many moons ago.

Great Left and point off to the left a ways... and a walk down the beach to the right of the photo there's another pretty damn good right. Being a goofy o wouldn't surf that often.
